#Lower Decks S05E04

The Klingon half of this episode didn't really work for me? The other half did, though
Oh god Boimler has a mustache now
Seems like the overarching story is about who is opening up these inter-dimensional potholes
i hope the solution to that isn't "harry kim trying to find a universe where he's respected", which kinda feels like a lower decks plot
ma'ah and malor feel like they were written by somebody with siblings tho
Bargh was supposedly a fleet commander, I'm surprised Ma'ag doesn't have a Vor'cha now.
I want a female klingon outfit, but I feel like I need to be on HRT for a while first
EXPERIENCE BIJ!!!!!
I wonder if Section 31 and Will Boimler are behind the potholes?
We haven’t had anything on Will for a long time after he “died” and joined Section 31
NO, YOU EXPERIENCE BIJ!

I loves the opening crefig sequence on this one.
Also I briefly thought Beej had gotten a callout from Lower Decks until I realized it was a reference to the VHS game 🤣
the migleemoo story was kinda bad, in that it was the most predictable version of that story you could ask for
and No t'lyn and NO t'ana
in fact we haven't had any t'ana at all this season
The irony of the B story was how bland it was. Kind of like the Dooplers, a one-gag alien species.
Totally into the Klingon A plot though. So many great bits. When Boimler climbs the Targ and just quietly goes "hee!" 😂
I'm the opposite. Much preferred the birds over the klingon plot
I found the Klowachian plot boring because I figured out right away that they had lost their sense of taste and were trying to hide it because I was getting the weirdest vibes of Sarek trying to hide his Bendii syndrome
In my case, I just remembered so many stories of people complaining about scentless candles and tasteless food before they realized they were sick
All that aside, any theories as to who is making the quantum rifts? Tholians?
I think captaintalon had the right idea and evil!boimler and S31 are behind them.
The real question is to why
I'm still waiting for the return of Thomas Riker since Lower Decks was the first to confirm he was actually still alive.
I finally caught up and that was one of the most gorgeous opening I’ve seen in Trek. The animators are killing it
There's an excellent scathing review for a burger place near me where someone says about how bland and tasteless everything was, which ends with a retraction apologising and explaining they had the panini bug
This was a nice episode
Boimer and Mariner being support characters was fun, pink klingon blood is not what i was expecting
It's been that way since, I wanna say, star trek 6?
It was like this in Star Trek 6, but most of the times since it hasn't been iirc
They make a joke about that inconsistency in an earlier episode, where a Klingon says his blood is as pinkish-purple as any warrior. 😛
Always appreciate how lower decks seems to love all of trek
