Mismatched Server Files / Not Able To Download Map

1 - Press F1 and type console.clear
2 - Try and Join the server again (You will get the error still)
3 - Press F1 again and type copy
4 - Open a .TXT file and press CTRL + V
5 - Look for "Loading custom map" and there will be a URL next to it
6 - Copy and paste that URL into an internet browser
7 - locate your Rust "Maps" Folder (\steamapps\common\Rust\maps) and delete everything in there.
8 - Take the downloaded file and drag that into your Rust "Maps" Folder (\steamapps\common\Rust\maps)
9 - Restart Rust and you should be good!

As explained in the ticket, may be try to make some high quality tickets, with actual useful information and evidence supporting the case rather than telling everybody to spam a tickets someone?
We do not ban people because someone getting alot of tickets , at the end of the day it is base on evidence supplied and collected, the more you can gave us, the higher the chance someone getting caught.

8 - Take the downloaded file and drag that into your Rust "Maps" Folder (\steamapps\common\Rust\maps)
9 - Restart Rust and you should be good!

It's now officially old enough to have its own birthday cake 🎈

This bug is so committed, it's chosen only the elite servers to haunt:
🗓️ EU 2x Monday and Thursday servers – because apparently Us and unmodded servers are too stable?

Every time I die (which is often, thanks Rust), I get to relive the joy of being glued to my sleeping bag like it's some cursed IKEA mattress. Can't move, can't play, but hey — at least it's consistent!

I’ve reported this to the admins several times, and since it's now clearly a feature, maybe we can add it to the server-info tab?

"Players will now enjoy a brief existential crisis while stuck in their bag. Immersion +10." 👍

Would love to know if this is ever going to be fixed or if we should just start planning a yearly bug memorial.

The problem occurs every time a player respawns — they become stuck on their sleeping bag, unable to move. This issue has been consistently present for a long time and affects every player on the server, not just me.

I’ve personally attempted to recreate this bug across multiple servers, including US and other EU servers, and it appears to be exclusive to the EU 2x Monday and Thursday servers.

If needed, you can try reproducing the issue by respawning on those specific servers — it happens reliably.

I hope this helps with identifying and resolving the problem. Please let me know if any additional information is needed.

Last time I played Rust was in 2018. I just got a new gaming laptop and decided to play again, but when I joined this server is said I could not "log in" due to a Ban Evasion???

Fun fact: the reason I was banned from the server is because I have a Starlink connection, and apparently the satellite grabs a new IP every once in a while or so lmao. So somebody got themselves banned on the Starlink service and I was lucky enough to pick up their IP.

Hi there, this is more of a technical question than a regular support thingy, but I was wondering if anyone can help. I was trying to load one of the maps on the map vote into a local server to have a look around for build spots. It says on the map vote thingy that I can download or use the map etc. I have set up a local server and got everything working with steamcmd etc. However, when I either use the link to the custom map in the server bat file as required, or link to it locally on my machine after downloading it manually, when I start to load the server, it still keeps generating a random procedural map, rather than the rusticated custom map. I know this is a bit of an ask, but can anyone give me any tips? Thank you 🙂

Mismatched Server Files / Not Able To Download Map

1 - Press F1 and type console.clear
2 - Try and Join the server again (You will get the error still)
3 - Press F1 again and type copy
4 - Open a .TXT file and press CTRL + V
5 - Look for "Loading custom map" and there will be a URL next to it
6 - Copy and paste that URL into an internet browser
7 - locate your Rust "Maps" Folder (\steamapps\common\Rust\maps) and delete everything in there.
8 - Take the downloaded file and drag that into your Rust "Maps" Folder (\steamapps\common\Rust\maps)
9 - Restart Rust and you should be good!
