Hi All, hoping to get some help with fixing random interval game crashes-

I have spent the last few days trouble shooting with google suggestions and have not been able to fix my issue.

I have been playing Rust without any issues for the last few months. However, this past wipe (last few days), my game has been force closing at random time intervals. At first I wasn't bothered since I know the game is known for crashing once in a while which I am okay with but these crashes have been consistently happening every hour or so. It has even progressed to crashing within 5 minute intervals back to back. Something definitely feels off.

After scouring the internet for troubleshooting ideas here is what I have done so far:
-run steam as admin
-made sure graphics card is up to date
-reinstalled Rust
-reinstalled Steam
-removed Fast Boot as an option in windows and in my bios
-changed custom virtual RAM in windows for the drive that rust plays on to 4096x4096
-monitored task manager to make sure my GPU is not overheating, RAM not spiking, CPU not overused, etc.

I have also checked event viewer. This is the code I get every time it crashes (below). I have googled it and people tend to say this means it's just the game itself but I have been asking the server I have been playing on if anyone is having similar issues and no one seems to be experiencing this.

In terms of my PC:
-64 GB DDR5 RAM
-GeForce RTX 3090 TI
-i9-13900K CPU

So I really don't think hardware is an issue; and as I have said previously, the game has been running absolutely fine the last few months. Out of nowhere I am now getting force closes so frequently the game is unplayable.

If anyone can take a few minute to help me out I would really appreciate it!!!

Error code is for a memory access violation, these kinds of specific game crash debug questions are probably better asked in the official rust discord as opposed to this server, but heres a few things:
Could be related to ram issue (win memory diagnostics are a decent first step), outdated drivers (including for disk), or something wrong with storage (could try an sfc scan for that, chkdsk etc)
Worst case, could be some funky issue with windows or certain system files used - reinstalling can fix a lot of issues.

there are a bunch of other things which can cause the same issue, like having a corrupted user32/user64 dll file, or just some issue within the game code or unity engine

Windows if nothing else works, but sfc should find corrupt system files if they are present

but windows loves to break itself so sometimes that is just the easiest solution, as opposed to crawling through everything that could cause such a broad error

running that cpu with higher clock speed ddr5 could also cause issues but i'd be surprised if they werent more obvious that occasional rust crashes

3 - Press F1 again and type copy
4 - Open a .TXT file and press CTRL + V
5 - Look for "Loading custom map" and there will be a URL next to it
6 - Copy and paste that URL into an internet browser
7 - locate your Rust "Maps" Folder (\steamapps\common\Rust\maps) and delete everything in there.
8 - Take the downloaded file and drag that into your Rust "Maps" Folder (\steamapps\common\Rust\maps)
9 - Restart Rust and you should be good!
