Yeah he's the one that handled the situation and banned so he's got the full context having looked in to it. Generally teammates get a temp ban which can sometimes be shortened but that depends. They'd be the best to decide on that since all we have is stuff on the person banned which the ban is legit so deciding on teammates is up to them.

I'll @ him in the admin channel, he may have missed the one earlier if he was gone. I don't THINK he's around atm but it'll make sure he sees it if he gets back soon. Though it's all handled on our site so he'd see it when he got on anyway. Might be a bit faster if he sees it in discord too though.

Depends on the situation. Generally all current teammates will get banned for association. If you've fully left and are on another team you likely won't but there are probably some edge cases depending on involvement. Some people stay out of teams to hide as well

yea what happened with me and my teamates is that we were banned all by assosiation but one of my teamates joined these random guys that were cheating. They were sus asf so he logged and didnt join back but forgot to leave there team. When he logged the next day and joined my team we all go banned by association does that sound like it could be something that happened?

also how are you supposed to know that people are cheating in rust and how are you supposed to meet new people who play rust if they are cheaters and you will get banned for even playing with them for a second yk

That wouldn't be something that would result in a ban for you generally. I don't believe that's what happened in this case.

As for playing with randoms yeah it's kind of risky. Ideally you'd want to play with people you know personally though that isn't even 100% effective. checking accounts on steam and services like battlemetrics can help lower the risk. I can let you know what happened in your ticket but the deciding on the ban will be up to the banning admin

It wasn't removed specifically because of any one person but rather the misuse of it by multiple streamers who rather than take precautions to hide the servers they were on or move servers when needed would just play it loose because they could just get the people banned. Basically it was just one big headache and caused unnecessary drama. Like noelle said we do punish people for harassment. If someone isn't here to play on the server and only here to go after and streamsnipe a streamer and that's all they're doing then they'll be removed.
