i still highly suggest not allowing players to join with names that have uncommon characters. i found someone who's steam name doesnt show up at all. theres no way i would be able to search for it if i did need to f7 them

Some suggestions for bedwars:

1. Make it so when you break your structures with the pickaxe, you do double dmg when its soft side

2. Add a deathmatch period (around the 1hr30m mark all beds are broken and everyone has one life, this will make it so matches dont go on too long as it can get really boring when people are just sitting on their roofs)

3. Speaking of roofs, there should be a roofcamp debuff (a bit like rust reborns) so unless youre getting raided or the player youre shooting at isnt within 30-50m of your base, you do 0 dmg

4. Rockets need to be a little more expensive or less in quantity. It gets annoying when your neighbors have 3 rows of rockets by the end of the first stage.

4-2. An alternative or this is make gunpowder drop in much lower quantites during the first 2 stages. This will make it so not only will you not get foundy wiped within the first 10m of the round starting, but people cant just rush mid and immediately get aks and hold mid for half the round.

5. Add a vote kick feature (to help fight against blatant cheaters and griefers)

6. Mega bedwars (8 v 8) with already built bases (3x3 shell or smth)

7. Recruit more chad mods for bedwars because there is a lot of rampant racism

8. Make it so people cant launch rockets from their roof (They do 0 dmg or just wont shoot)

9. Decrease rocket dmg because fuck rocket pvp

I feel like the large majority of these features would not only improve the quality of life, but improve the actual gameplay overall. A lot of the time I find myself fighting people who just sit on their roofs or bridge towers which are aids to fight against

I have a suggestion for rusticated as a server

and I tried to be as neutral and as clear and fair as possible

The streamsniping rule should be removed from rusticated. Lucroan only plays rusticated main because he has access to such a rule. Lucroan has been caught blackmailing and abusing his power of being able to dm admins directly several times. For example, I was watching Lucroans steam after he banned me for stream sniping. Even though I countered his raid and killed him a few times, and I was never on the viewer list during his raid. While I was watching his stream (while I was banned) he was looking for my base to offline it. I told my teammate to logon to defend and Lucroan instantly called out stream sniping to my teammate who killed him and demanded that he gives the base to Lucroan for free, or Lucroan will ban him. This is just super unfair and Lucroan, being someone who makes money from streaming should know the risks in streaming on a main rust server. This certainly hurts the community because people I know are scared to kill Lucroan in general because they believe they will simply be banned for stream sniping even if they aren't. A great example of this is my friend Guag, where people were spreading Lucroans coords and what server he was playing on. My friend went to Lucroans base and attempted to grief him and call out his coords in chat (because that is just the toxicity of rust and how it is played) and he got perma banned from the server. Overall, Lucroan does abuse his power and it does make people scared to kill him in the game even if they aren't watching his stream. This isn't a rule on several servers, and shouldn't be on here either.

well im not an expert but there are probably a few ways depending on how its done id guess. sound coming from your client played on the server to other clients can be traced back to you technically. kinda like how esp can get your in game name without you even being close. the server is transmitting that data even if you normally cant see it from that distance. so depending on how exactly its done you could get an ip from it i suppose. depends on if its the radio junk itself or the way they did it. playing something directly stored on the server or going through the server like the radio stations or whatever else the server owners have would be different than it coming from you and then going through the server. so if its the radio stuff itself and how thats set up then the plugin would likely have the same issue as its the way it was coded, or it could be a deeper issue within the games code. if it was just specially how they implemented the playing of other stuff through urls and they removed it for that but also the other reasons then maybe the plugins fine. but i doubt we'd want to risk our players safety unless we were sure. like i said im not an expert but thats my thought process based on the little i do know

I believe that the 2x servers are too op for a 2x. When there are factors like trading across the map it changes the game a lot. It makes the server less enjoyable because it makes things like counter raiding pointless. Also defeats the purpose of vending machines. Since they are 2x they should not be heavily moded so trading should not be a part of the servers.

its not the only way for voice chat, but its the most efficient if you want it enforced quickly. changing over to higher punishments right away wouldnt fix that issue for people who only do it in voice chat, which is quite a few. if we just perm muted instantly half of rust would be muted. shits a cesspool. like i said most of the time the initial mute fixes the issue, both in chat and in voice. but yeah some people not so much hence the harsher punishments afterwards. or even right away depending on the severity

but i get what youre saying. our methods are just based on what works best over the time we've ran the server, its not like we dont care or something. for example i hit a guy with a mute the other day, he just started talking through his friend. obviously mute wasnt ganna work in that case so they both got a ban for it. the main goal is to fix whatever it is thats the problem. while its pretty messy and doesnt work perfectly its proven to be better to start off smaller in the long run since most of the time its just edgy kids that stop once muted since that prevents them from doing anything else. generally not worth pushing the edgy shit to a perm mute

What would be really nice is blocking Japan & China players from joining US Servers. Literally keep running into cheaters on US Main and I've done reports and nothing happens they're just still roaming and cheating.

If it was done through the website it will be looked into, as for blocking japan and china there isn't as many Chinese and Japanese players as you might think as they usually require a VPN to join but we dont allow VPN's

It would be nice if there were two different channels to find teammates. One channel could be flooded with vast walls of solicitations to join various teams; each of which requiring 10k hours + lifelong vows of celibacy (it could be called "looking-for-team), and another for slightly more casual players that aren't interested in submitting a resume to join a 14 year old's clan.

Thanks for considering it. I bring this up because the "looking-for-team" channel is almost unusable in its current form. I agree having different channels for different types of players would be more to moderate, but this is a very social/team oriented type of game and creating another channel for more casual players is at least a worthwhile experiment. If people end up hating it then it could quickly be abandoned.

I know it might help with lag and things like that, but its really depressing how dead the community is now on the creative servers. I've spent over 800 hours on the server and its sad to see it like this. Nobody is asking questions, helping others like they used to. I used to hop into the servers and ask if anyone needed help or ask if anyone could give some feedback and now, nobody answers, ever. Instead of having 150 pop on the server like it used to, its now split into 30s and 20s which makes the community really dead.

I would suggest either of two things: The solution would really be to combine the servers like they were so everyone is in the same area and can communicate with eachother. The second would be a chat which went across each of the worlds, I dont know how feasible this is but it would mean that you could ask a question and someone could ask which ID you're in and come help. It would be massively helpful if this is what is done, if there would be commands to teleport to people's worlds instead of just their coordinates to make helping others easier. So you dont have to leave to hub each time. Or atleast a command to switch world easier. The last, and least effective but easiest to implement would be a dedicated help world. This would be an area where people go with the expectation to help and socialise with other players.

I understand people want to be left alone, especially with a lot of people flying minis around and being toxic and creating lag, but it hurts seeing the server, which was once full of life, without a single message in any of the chats.
