Any possibility of a hardware upgrade or tweaks to make the Trio Thursday server perform better? We typically only play on this server, but yesterday I was just running around a couple of others like Rustified and Rustoria and noticed that they don't have the same level of massive FPS lag around Outpost like we get at Rusticated every wipe. Not sure what it is, that causes it - maybe tons of buildings. Anyway, we're looking to shift playstyle and want to build closer to outpost where more action is, but can't imagine doing that with the performance FPS drops that happen in that area of map

gotcha, and thanks. I am not sure if it's as bad just after map wipe, that's why I thought maybe related to number of nearby structures. Will check again later today if that's the case just after map wipe. I usually get 90-110 FPS on a 2k ultrawide in outlying areas of map. Drops to 45-65 near outpost (but again, not sure if its just later in wipe). Also - I swapped to a 1080p 144hz last week as a test, and got the same FPS so definitely then figured it must be related to networking

Maybe longer nights on the vanilla 2x servers, 1 minute night is a bit too short. Maybe 5-10 as default is 15. I think it would a nice way for lower tier people to make plays on the big clans, also for admins to find cheaters easier with them being able to see at night.

What about a recycler at the large fishing villages, seen a few servers include them on 2x so could be nice. Though those servers also add a drone shop there. I feel like the fishing villages need more love like they get elsewhere 🙂

He got a rust gameban 3 days ago aftee he got reported over the f7 menu. Me and my team got the ingame message and he is also on rust hack report.
Today he played with the same team as before on his second account and got banned by a Admin after i made a Ticket about him and his team.
One of his group members said later that they knew about it and played with him anyways.
Sorry for spamming the suggestions chat but i just dont understand why they are still allowed to play.
He will probably just get a 3rd accout and come back...

Well whoever the admin is would need proof that the team knew and that its the same guy joining back. If its a group limit server we should have no problem removing the team tho as long as we can prove they had someone gamebanned on the team

Like 10 minutes after the Ticket got closed i called his teammates out in chat and he said it.
Its also the team that played for a few wipes with always the same people on the team with both his accounts.
Should take 5 minutes to look it up in some logs

Most groups are less than 12 player but there is one chinese zerg on the EU with 15+ people who just zerg everyone and destroy the experience for all the other groups.
No one likes Zergs because there is no counter against them. You can only just stop playing if they live somewhere near you...

Why do maps never have swamps and maps in rust have no real variance. Maps always have a distinct snow on one side, desert on the other, and grass in the middle with the spawn beach being almost entirely grass. Makes for very repetitive base building and location types. Also never seen abandoned cabins. Curious not complaining

I would agree but it would be neat to see desert and snow closer together one wipe or the trifecta biome style interwoven in each other. Or instead of 3 large stripes of each biome, multiple patches of each. Things like that. Personal opinion ofc, but change is nice

The 2x US trio server is experiencing severe player decline due to excessive trading. It requires wiping twice a week to maintain activity. To improve the server's longevity, I propose limiting trading to night-time hours, which I believe will result in sustained player engagement. The current situation is not normal, with a drop in player count from 500 on Saturday to only 75 on Monday. The chat is devoid of actual life, and the server feels like a marketplace instead of a 2x server. The absence of PVP is killing the server, and players are spending the entire wipe trading instead of exploring or fighting. Even on Sunday, with a player count of 360, it felt like only 160 due to the lack of activity. I beg you to consider implementing a wipe where players can only trade at night, perhaps by extending the night's duration or starting it at sundown.

Take more time choosing maps for eu long : maps are something to be ummmed and arrred about most wipes are maps that pretty much will just do. Monuments towards snow/away from spawn should be more so teir3 monuments, i find that on servers such as rustoria it can be seen when they do the map votes they are usually hard to decide between alot of choice where as on here i feel like some maps are a defo no and seem pointless to be added. LONG should be priority as the wipe is so longer than any other only comes around once a month, no hate just my opinion and a few people i know thanks!

More space for player on US Trio Thursdays and Mondays. Every wipe right after the start there's a queue of at least 150 players who will only be able to join after 1 hours or more. I think that letting more people in at the start would help the server not to be empty after the second day even if it might be very busy during the first day. Is it complicated to expend the server capacity?

This problem caused alot of missunderstandings and i want to finaly fix it. I know the US servers were first therefore they are just named Trio Monday. I would however suggest calling the US servers US Monday trio instead of just Monday Trio. Because people confuse them with the EU ones and even tho the EU ones are called EU people just click the first server and ive seen people get real angry because of it. Its a small change cmon dude it cant be that hard unless facepunch has some terms on name changing.

Remove trading from US 2x trio because it kills the server. Only reason why it has to wipe twice a week. 1 easy fix could just be adding much longer cooldowns or just make it so that players can only trade when its dark out. Maybe increase night by 5 mins. Just try it for one wipe and you will notice higher player numbers.

1. Unlimited ammo on by default always have the gun completely loaded with ammo when loading into the server
2. Unlimited Weapon Durability on by default
3. Add a way to see what a specific TC is connected to, walls foundations ETC by changing everything else to stone and the things connected to HQM or something similar
4. Deauth on all turrets same for all tool cupboards not just auth on them
5. Make it so you can choose which deployables get wiped when pressing the wipe deployables button example: turrets, doors, beds and such

  • make it so doors open with symetry

  • make the bed limit more then 15 so we dont have to constantly reload to place more

  • make it so search lights keep their orientation after base load

  • add a farming update , so we can make roleplay bases with hemp n shit like sanctuary has, but make the actual plants be saved

  • why are my tcs decaying after loading the base / importing them from fortify, make them auto fill up

  • add a feature to change keybinds (fly and bgrade) everyone knows fly is f, why is it x on here

  • let us add our own pictures for base save instead of having the automated one

  • let us run the commands for the actions in the ui, i wanna just run /door open or /door close instead of having to find it in the ui

Hey i was wondering if you could consider fog and rain on your servers. Your servers are amazing. But from my experience, rain and ESPECIALLY FOG can be great in some situations. First off it can be great for pvp allowing people to have an oppurtunity to escape with loot safely. Second, It just gives another vibe to the wipe. I notice a repetition of day then night over and over. having rain or fog randomly, lets say every 5 in-game days would give players a new and unique pvp experience. Last, I believe there are no negatives towards this being added to your servers and it would be a great thing to try out. Thank you for reading my suggestion!

Yesterday, the Rusticated US solo/duo/trio server had a population of 600 players at the time of the wipe. However, within 5 hours, it experienced a decline of 200 players. After 24 hours, the population dwindled to just 141 players. This significant drop in player count is concerning and indicates an abnormal situation. The root cause of this issue is quite simple: the trade function allows players to easily acquire anything they need, leading to a large number of players spending their time trading within the safety of their bases. Consequently, this results in a Rust experience that lacks the lively PvP encounters and player interactions that make the game exciting. As a consequence, players become bored and disinterested, prompting them to leave.

Fortunately, there is a straightforward solution to address this problem. By doubling the already fast trade cooldown and restricting trading exclusively to nighttime, players would be unable to engage in trading during the day, thereby encouraging them to actively participate in the core gameplay of Rust. After all, Rust was not designed as a trading simulator but rather as a game that emphasizes exploration and survival. By limiting trading and promoting the need for players to search and scavenge for resources, the gameplay experience would regain its intended focus and excitement.

Yo, not sure if this is the right chat for this but on the AU sandbox server there's a glitch where any foundation grade above stone doesn't calculate build cost properly, they all just cost 300 stone rather than 200 metal or 25 hqm. There's also another glitch where deployables randomly break when destroying or placing building pieces with symmetry on. Thanks.

-add a mlrs function or add all the monuments into the middle map
-group items together better so that things like embrasures and windows are in the same group when pressing f
-id recommend changing the bgrade to function where pressing ctrl + left click will bring the targeted building block down a grade, while still having the ability to change grades with f (same goes for shift + left click to go up a grade)
-change things like turret autofill to save your presets even after logging off

Me and my friends are supposed to play the EU 2x vanille but it wipes 15:00 Cet time. Almost all of us goes to the same school and it finishes 15:30, making us miss almost the whole beginning risking us getting a long queue and not getting a monument/base spot.

What im suggesting, something that maybe can be voted about is that wipe get delayed to 16:00 for us (1 hour delay) so that my team can play but also the fact that most of the people on the sever still are in school what ive been told. But also making the server match other servers like most of the vanilla ones and other 2x/3x.

this is my suggestion and i would love if it could go through.

They happen on all servers- electricity is due to a Rust bug, NPC's are disabled because of a Rust crash, clan table is still disabled on official because of facepunch orders (afaik)

Rust is hard and cheating is on the rise, its nothing you did, its not any 1 person's problem either, its an connected issue with many moving problems.
The games too hard, 25k scrap for all bps that wipe Monthly is SLAVERY in of itself. The game is about progression and moving through the different tiered weapons. I like the blueprint system in rust but wiping them monthly forces YOU to Farm components just to play the game and use the items for creative endeavors. The game's progression has Pidgeon holed being forced to farm scrap, and less actual exploration and creative gameplay available. I believe running monuments and progressing is a key part of the game but with 170+ different servers to play, players can find NEW servers to grind the all NEW bps and start to having blueprints that don't wipe. STOP, STOP wiping blueprints monthly and change to a yearly wipe on existing servers. With this we will hopefully see less players feeling worse at the game, feeling like they will never hold and ak without client cheats.

I told yall to change how the trade function worked on 2x solo/duo/trio. I said it was killing the server since you could at any time of day. That does not change the fact that trading was always overpowered. 80% of all chat was just people selling guns and other loot. It was more of a market than a rust server. People would sit in their base all day and not pvp. Which causes a chain reaction of boredom. People suggested to make it so you can old trade during night. No one ever listsened. The server would last at most 2 days. There are plenty of other servers that dont have the same issue.

I think Au trio Thursday server needs the map to be made a little bit smaller. usually by Saturday or Sunday it becomes hard to even find people because the pop drops off so much but a somewhat smaller map could help with that. Just a QOL suggestion. Your sorter is pretty bad, it does kinda sort, but it doesn't stack, so you can have 3 odd stacks of stone that could be 2 stacks. Also, all the tools in the cupboard move to the actual cupboard instead of staying in the toolbox, so you have to manually move them back to the toolbox, making it basically useless to use on the cupboard. Thanks for great 2x vanilla server, love it other than that!

Any chance we could see a 2x server that wipes on Fridays? Thursday isn't horrible, but the impact it has on people's work schedule is painful sometimes. I'd imagine a wipe on Friday would see greater activity on the following Sunday too. I realize the force wipe schedule happens on a Thursday and probably plays into the decision, but I just wanted to throw that out there and see if it has been considered.

Its already been tried by another server and never worked out. Plus the amount of cheaters on boosted hour accounts is very high. We ban people with thousands of hours who are closet cheaters etc.
