Since it's a social game with no leaderboard or online functionality, and knowing the answer ruins the game, there is no incentive to cheat

#

Additionally it greatly simplifies the website design. You get to serve static files and do not need to run a server or API

And it automatically deals with timezones too

Also just on what you said encryption would not work. Since the key to decrypt would have to be local, you could just inspect the code and get the key and decrypt it yourself
