Didn't know there are mATX boards for Xeons :o
How much did the 960 cost out of interest?
might wanna keep an eye on the psu
Well yes, it's a gigabyte.... :) I didn't choose that one.
converted to USD, it was 110$
Damn, that's a good price.
Yeah it had a few issues a few months ago
Some guy was selling it without listing the model, I found out it was a 960 by checking the cooler/ports at the back.
I believe this affected only the 750W Gold units though?
Not sure which is why I said keep an eye
It was the P-GM models in particular
This one isn't great, but also not the confirmed exploding one.
Considering this contains a board from Aliexpress, I'm just happy it works as intended.
I have had good experience with these so far - one of them is running in my home server currently.
That's nice
Oh by the way... the RAM + CPU + Motherboard were 140 usd combined
epic deals
The only thing which made me feel quite hesitant to post this was the cable management though. Not much I could have done unfortunately.
got a parts list
like.. the exact parts?
sure, let me post them
CPU: Intel Xeon E5 2620 v3
GPU: ASUS STRIX GTX 960 2GB
RAM: Atermiter 16GB DDR4 3200MHz
Motherboard: Atermiter X99H
SSD: Kingston KC2500 1TB
Cooler: SilentiumPC Fera 5
PSU: GIGABYTE P450B
Case: oof, some random second hand one that i received from the colleague who wanted the PC.
It's also worth mentioning that the motherboard has modded bios flashed which basically sets the full turbo frequency as the base frequency, granting quite a bit of extra performance.
