Also I don't know that much about the components of the gpu such as the PCB and heatsink.. where are those?

And my other question was would the other side of the strimmers be powered if it isn’t plugged in?

With how stiff the cables are, it'll likely stay in place without anything.

You've got the other 8-pin plugged in right next to it after all.

Also, the RGB is not powered off the actual GPU connectors so you're fine there.
