membrane is usually hated more than it should because you see way more crappy membrane keyboards on the market than some good ones

Rule of thumb would be

1. If ur looking for something good, dont buy slop
2. If ur looking for functional anything non explosive does the job

idk anything about the Galleon 100 SD. but I am happy with my k55 keyboard. I wouldn't call my keyboard slop
