Bought it before the ram pricing went berserk was part of my 7800x3d home theater build and now that pc has 32 gb
I paid like 230 for that kit back then
This is fire
would be more fire, if it's would be 5090
i mean real fire 🔥
but pc would be burn
5090 cost to much I paid 3400 for mine and I don’t even push it to its fullest potential
just readed, they burning for 12vhpwr
Home theater pc 7800x3d,32 gb ddr5,7900xt

boys he has ram. GET HIM!!!
i still have another 3 kits
i hope, u have a gun
that's how u meet ur neighbours or other people, when someone visit ur home
Just for context I have 3 safes lol
so, u hide ur ram kits there
prepare to defend. me and my minions will raid your home for your ram /s
don't forget about ssd too
nah just ram
My 990 evos will be safe
before the ram shortage. my 990 pro 2tb new only costed me $70
rampocalypse changed ssd prices too
I know ssd and gpus also. but ram is gold ; )
then ssd it's silver
the joke is we raid their home just for their computer ram
and ssd
I dont want to rob a man's stash of storage filled with dolphan porn
how do yk, what's he saved on his storage?
don't ask
whic mobo is that?
Gigabyte aorus x870e pro ice
nice mobo
feel like u spent a lot on the mobo lol
but idrk tbf
mobos got cheaper for intel at least, (z890)
z790 used parts have increased in price tho
$300 for the pro ice. doesn't seem that bad
I start questioning when people start paying $600+ lol but that's for people who pairs a $600 mobo with like a 5070ti or weaker
pretty steep
i bought a 125$ mobo and paired it with a 4090
and 14900k
so the hottest PC u could have back in the day (barring using 14900KS)
i know someone who got 14900ks and a 4090.. made no sense to me
dude said he barely upgrades and is the first time he is making a big purchase.. but then.. he should just upgrade more frequently? 🤣
tbf the mobo was 240$ at retail ig.. z790 auros elite x wifi7
$200-300 is normal for am5 mobos
a few b650 can be found at $150
yeah but 300$ seems a bit higher end
any cheaper then is usually crap
but then again people here spend a lot on aesthetics so idrk
hes paying the white tax
u are saying this to someone who has a 14900k 💀
its power req is like the highest. and ram speeds are higher too
intel different
not just that. its also the pro version
wdym different lol
if anything u can even more so not cheap out on mobo for 14900k
oh nvm idk what I was saying by different
cuz the thing gouges up power
yeah unfortunately..
idk what happened..
kinda crazy how inflation is considered only 2-5% but everything i know and love and need has been increasing in price at a quite higher rate
only going to get worse with more other chip shortage coming soon where we may see all parts raise in price
healthcare, housing, education, electronics
afaik it shouldnt affect mobos as much but yeah u never know
yeah everything seems like it doubled
it kinda does make sense to perhaps spend more on mobo + cpu rn
when those are the only half sensibly priced things
my mobo is just $200 but I didn't go for looks. I just have a Asus Tuf Gaming B650 Plus Wifi
but yeah i think z790 auros pro is of similar price (300$ or so), i just never bought it tho cuz elite has pretty much everything u would need
afaik the ram overclocking isnt even better on the pro
but plenty for a 9800x3d
yeah
AMD doesn't ram overclock well anyways
but i dont think its just looks
true
intel can push 7200mhz, AMD’S most safe is 6000mhz
also why i said u can kinda cheap out on amd more than u can cheap out on intel 14th gen
intel requires higher power delivery and better memory overclocking
ironically the best intel mobos were super pricy itx ones
or some uber expenive ROG ones that had only 2 ram slots
damn I really want to try an itx build lol
best 4 dimmer was asrock pg nova afaik.. but auros elite and auros pro were right behind. i think there was/is no difference in mem OC for auros pro and auros elite..
bro i got my coolmon argb cables
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/vHNscf/asrock-b850-steel-legend-wifi-atx-am5-motherboard-b850-steel-legend-wifi u have this ig @tepid shale
@tepid shale from what i researched that steel legend is very good for am5
so 200-300$ really aint normal
apparently x870 is lowkey useless cuz all it adds is a usb 4 port which most devices dont even support, and for workstation builds it even saps pcie lanes from ur pcie slots
ah
thats the board i was recommended will be using for a build with a 5090 or two
so for sure u dont need 200-300$ for ur PC. i think i may get something slightly better tho but maybe still b850 if the usb 4 does infact sap pcie lanes and doesnt have some dynamic routing/allocation
"or two". they be flexing their wealth spending 2 $4000 5090
yeah ig
5090 alone costed more than my whole pc and I have a 5080
