i do alot of overclocking. I optimize and prune software for those setups which is pretty intensive

my test rig atm is the top black PC, a pentium 4 from like 2006, really noticable to notice performance uplift on something so slow

normally its fairly trivial but atm im using a hybrid ABI thats not exactly 32 or 64 bit (much custom patching)

for fun atm, though im thinking about using some of the aforementioned shenanigans to get way ahead on overclocking leaderboards

certain benchmarks are open to OS's other than windows, meaning when you have less OS overhead and optimized memory access, you can push already fast processors to their realistic limit

this isnt on the pentium system, but on my 7950x3d system, ive gotten most cpu bound tasks around 25% faster than what you'd find on windows 11 for instance
