It seems like a laptop folded and put on a stand to try to identify as a pc
It's a laptop turned into a very simple all-in-one
Specifically a 15 in MacBook Pro
I wonder what would cause someone to do it other than expensive keyboard repairs
And I did it because the laptop is not repairable
xD
what was the issue?
The computer suffered liquid damage so not only is the current keyboard busted but if you try to connect another one it doesn't work
The keyboard isn't removable either it's riveted into the shell
I basically cobbled This Together from stuff I pulled out of e-waste
The battery was also extremely bloated so that's been removed
oh didn't see that coming
bruh the amount of effort on a laptop with that specs lol
so you plugged it in direct to ac?
and made an external power button?
Yep
that sounds costly
Well there is no power button
"Semsem open up"?
I have spent $0 on this
so you must be a genius then lol makes sense
Nope I just left your stock feature of how a Mac works
That's also why I didn't put a battery back in it
If a Mac runs completely out of power and you plug it in it automatically turns itself on
So by never putting a battery back in it all I have to do is temporarily disconnect and reconnect the power cord
You can pick up a unibody Mac from around 2012 through 2008
And they are a lot more repairable
You can replace the RAM and the storage and several other parts
even many windows laptop are unrepairable
Yes it's really sad
