I'd probably go for an i9-14900K, but that's just cause I'm an intel freak.

But it also depends on what motherboard he's got, if its compatable, and what PSU he's got.

At least? Err. Maybe an i7-13700KF. I'm not aware of a minimum requirement for the 5090.
