#Storage

You can technically add as much storage as you want until you NVME or SATA ports run out
Also for GPU it really depends which one supports your Motherboards PCIe slots and if you have enough connectors
Im going down the same route as you are made my PC still choosing GPU got a 7600x thinking a out a 3060 bcuz it's got good vram and is on par with the 4060
Any idea how would i know what my motherboard supports?
That's nice 😮
Should be in the motherboard manual or if you search the motherboard they usually have visuals telling you
Thanks alot
That's my first pc after using laptop for years 😃
I'll focus on getting gpu and ssd storage then maybe i'll consider upgrading my cpu soon
Same
What do you think you're going to upgrade to?
Most Motherboards nowadays support PCIe gen 4
From my research probably ryzen 5 5600 or ryzen 7 5800x
What's your build?
Your Mobo according to the website supports gen 3
7600x
Asus prime a ax ll Mobo
2x16 GB DDR5-6000
Lian Li a3
Some arctic fans
Be quiet pure power 12 m 750w
1tb sata SSD
Still trying to cable manage
Pretty good choices
Oh damn that's solid build
What you use that pc for?
Mostly gaming
But without a GPU it's hard to run some games
True
I bought god of war 2018 which is running like 30 fps
And got spiderman miles morales which can't even get 10
The build i have pretty decent with running some AAA on low settings which was my goal honestly
Oh dang
Yeah I didn't expect much fps seeing as it's a open world game
I don’t think it actually matters on what gen the pci slot is. But I could be wrong
I think they just need bios update to use 6000 series
Yeah
Unless your mobo has a bios flash button you’ll need an old gen cpu to flash it. Which I think the 3200 can do
Alright
I'm kinda lucky I got a bios flask back button I won't need it yet bcuz I'm not planning on upgrading for a while
I think it might
I could be wrong aswell tbh
I had to read a whole book before my dad bought me some parts
Goddamn
Also @opal dove it depends on if you’re going to purely use the pc for gaming or if you’re going to multi task with it about the cpu thingy
Ohhh yeah this is for gaming purposes
5600 is good for gaming but when it comes to multi tasking the 5700x will be better as it has more cores
I’d go with the 5600 then
Save some money and you get a cooler
that's a fat book man
Yup
Yeah
It was my dad's old book
It's like 20 years old so a little outdated
Luckily YouTube is a thing
My goal is to run game like ac odyssey in higher graphic settings and be able to atleast run games like baldurs gate/rdr2
Fr
My sources are: ai, google, youtube, and this
My goal is just to play PlayStation games
I think when you’ve properly kitted out the pc it will be able to run Ac in medium - high
Been stuck on Xbox games
Not sure about rd
I just recently started being in pc, jist this christmas dec 25
Ohhhh
Good to know
Btw i did not build this
I just learned its parts online
I got it pre built
😱
Yeah man
My brother tried building his own pc 💀
I find building it more fun imo
I agree
Slow motion cuz I was trying to see what order they lit up
The only stressful part is the cpu after that everything gets easy
From now on though, all upgrades on this pc will be built by me 😀
Also cable management is not a thing in that case
Disaster awaits
I was stressing putting my m.2 in
I have such shaky hands 😭🙏🏽
Theres non im my case either
LMAO
Ohhhhhh
if it works
Lol
If it works, it works
LMAO
Exactly don’t touch it lmao
I'm going to cable manage it more when I get a GPU
I was to eager to play games so I kind of rushed cable management
Btw unless your fans are reverse blade I would change the orientation
I got 2 intake and 2 exhaust
I kind of wanted equal pressure
Actually I kind of can't have 2 at the bottom cuz its gonna bend the SATA cable
A lil ik
They usually run up the side
The SATA cables?
This is my pc
Well the ports
Fans on the bottom are grey though 💔
I’ll get a photo of it now that photo is a couple months old
Oh there's some put they won't work with the SATa cables I had for the SSD
Ohhh
Yeah...
Is that good?
I'ma just assume it's good
Yeahh $128 is a steal for that tbh
Fr
Yesh i got chesp and was able to run odyssey at feasible rate haha
Man before this pc, i plsy ac odyssey on my 8gb intel celeron pc xD
Big upgrade for
Me
Yeah
That's why i really wanted a desktop
Thats good to know
I alr know its cheap but idk the actual price of these stuff piece by piece
I just wanted a desktop so I could play the PlayStation exclusive and get better quality and fps
Not really worth it tbh
Cuz I thought It's a little bit of a waste paying 500$ and paying more for games plus you can adjust more settings on the PC compared to console getting nicer looking games with higher fps
Ohhhh yeah make sense. For me I choose desktop for flexibility and freedom
He sees ...
Plz don't call me rule 😭
Mb 😭😭😭
Not 6 either 😭
😭
I hate this server they gave this bcuz my username is "inappropriate "
LMAO
Freecrow
How is that inappropriate 😭
Tf is wrong with free and crow 💀
Fr
I just realized the inaappropriate name rule in #rules is rule 6 so he is named that hahaha
Exactly
Thank you thank you
My pc now
Bottom fans really piss me off because they’re too big to fit all 3
I can understand if my user is "hard to tag" bcuz some people call me freecow
That PC is awesome
I do need to cable manage my desk better though
Thank you 🙏🏽
I cable managed the hell out of my desk
LMAO
I try to but I can never find motivation
Cable managing ya'll pc will make your pcs look 100x better no doubt haha
Though on your pc i barely noticed the cable cuz of the light at first look @north nebula
I'm not gonna lie I almost didn't until I got scared by a cable touching my leg during a gaming session
LMFAO
Yeah it’s not my pc that needs managing just my desk
Ethernet cable and power cable n stuff like that
They scare me, feels like a spider 🕷️💀
Oh hell nah
I'm also guilty in desk cable management
Lmfao
I will fix it soon...
I'm hoping to wait to cable manage my desk more till I get a new monitor
Soon...
500 years later
"You cable manage yet"
Soon...

@dusk adder an hour later and many zip ties
Strategically placed hole to hide wires 😭🙏🏽
Lol
I was able to cable manage a little bit of the PC
Almost no cables
Till you look here
Yeah
I got a speaker 2 monitors and a Tv (hoping to switch to a 1440p gaming monitor), my Xbox the PC lots or accessories and cables for headphones, keyboard and mouse, phone, controller, and led lights plus my school laptop
It looks very clean until you look from the side
Have you got zipties or smth
Yeah true 😭😭😭
And time
I do I'm using them to keep those cables
Oh I was gonna say it could look really neat if you tie all the cables together
There are little sticky clips that you just put on the desk and put cables in them. They are a pain to take off
It would but I don't have that many zip ties and I used most that I got for the PC build
I also needed to make it easy for me to take my chargers out in case I went to my mom's or on a trip
Ohhh true
Fair enough
Ong I ripped part of my desk off with one 💀
If I didn't have to be able to take them off I would have used power tools to route them through the metal
They are
I got some holding up the cables so there was none showing at the front the bars that go up have some
Oh neat
Hopefully my friends getting a pc and he said he wants me to build it so that’s going to be fun
Think I’d die
Good luck 🤞
I don’t mind tbh it’s just cable managing it in the case
Real
I almost broke my brothers gpu yesterday too
Yeah it's annoying a little bit
Especially bcuz you don't want to strain the cable
How?
The metal part where the hdmi and dp are got stuck on the case but I thought it got stuck in the pcie slot
So I kept pulling on it whilst trying to pry the pcie lock open and I almost dropped it whilst it was still stuck 💀
Yeahh
