Well I do not have a place for atx, not talking about eatx

frosty willow
#

yeah atx is kinda whatever imo

#

you either need the featue set of Eatx or x series boards

#

or you dont and matx is fine

#

imo

dark quail
#

matx with a right case is almost like a gaming laptop

frosty willow
#

like matx and atx are so comparable nowadas

#

even nvme slot wise

dark quail
#

matx is cheaper toohidethepain

frosty willow
#

sometimes yes sometimes no

#

the matx cases are also typically more restricted

dark quail
#

Yeah

#

But I just prefer it small

frosty willow
#

yeah well i wish it couldbe smaller but my needs dont allow for it lol

#

Honestly, if gaming laptops were not shit, I would get one

#

But the cheapest 3060 gaming laptops cost more than my 7600 rx6600 build

#

And are worse in cooling, and battery life basically makes it always connected to the charger anyways

frosty willow
#

not only that

#

thye are made to die

#

within 2-4 years

#

and have no repair that isnt a gazillion dollars

There is no reason to get a laptop for gaming

#

Just get a matx build, it is a bit harder to move, bec you also need to move the monitor and keyboard

#

And if you need laptop for college or smth, just get a used thinkpad

#

I hot one in 2021, but it has i5-5300u, and is still running fine
