One sec
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/xoC9c_VTCcg I got tired of typing out why so I made a 1 minute video explaining why π
Oh ok lol
but in all honesty, I am legit happy, My 13700k still works, it was replaced. I was not happy with the 14900k at all. direct x 12 seems to run better too. Maybe it wont be as great as if not Ill report as much, but my early impression I am very happy
Bro they told you to go with Intel like 5 years ago lol
If it works for you thatβs fine, in my experience it sounds like amd has gotten a lot better than from your experience a while ago.
Was just wondering tho
Yeah I think alot of the issues were also window related as you need 24h2 to run the cpu properly
and if old bios you need to install the OS with onboard graphics like in windows xp/7 era
but once updated never again need to
Ah okay
that sucks
yeah that was common
nowadays pretty much every amd board comes with flashback but yeah that is frustrating lol
I dont hate AMD, I just followed the advise they gave me π
I still do suggest amd to ppl when they ask, its a personal choice, but yeah, if I come across issues Ill report it on this cpu, ill be uploading game tests over the next week, but wont lie, i almost miss the 14900k-my room is now cold haha
whyd you switch off the 14900k for the 265k though?
isnt that a downgrade technically
it was feeling sluggish, and only 400 pts higher than my 13700k and the only way to hit 3600 pts in r23 was at 6ghz. it was a really bad bin,
rip
Intel returned my 13700k and I had buyers remorse too
so now when the 5090 is out ill put my 4080 in the old pc and use it as an entertainment system and guest pc
people should reserve the right to say f*** any company based on a bad experience, who cares what others say. More power to ya
Yeah man cool setup, I'm gonna be doing a 265K build soon as well, don't worry about what others say
the only issue with this cpu is the price imo
otherwise its not a bad cpu by any means
The 265k was actually cheaper for me, since I got it for $365 + 379 on the mobo, the 9800x3d, if I was willing to go amd, is I think $500 when in stock + 479 for the mobo equiv, but yeah, price vs perfomance over generational leap, I do agree I wish it was less π
well yes i will says there is a difference between amd and intel cpus in the sense that nothing but the 9950x "needs" a good board a 9800x3d will get full perf out of a 100$ b650m board
which is neat
much like a PSU, I wont skimp on a mobo, as it has the potential to break everything connected to it, no matter how rare a chance. Peace of mind if priceless
im just happy I can use my ram at full speed. Something I couldnt do on 14th or 13th gen
yeah but psus are far more of a minefiled then motherboards
there are psus that genuinely will 100% never work
I usually pay for the name Corsair, overpriced I know, but they have a non failure rate for me(unless keyboards, my god keyboard and icue software sucks) but their hardware warranty is why I chose them
I predict in 2 generations intel will rise like a pheonix with the Core 7 465k or they will be forced to merge with amd π
they are being eyeballed by qualcomm
oh really? My father is 72, he has stock in qualcomm, hed love that lol
I actually got a better score than I did on my 14900k lol
Yikes, that really was a bad 14900K bin
fr
like
worst of the worst
it was a 14700k bin that they last minute said nah lol
for sure
I'm on my 3rd 14900K now, this is a very good bin though and it scored 41K stock and now about 44k tuned. The last 2 and a 13600KF died
more like a 14600K bin that they noped into a 14900K
^this, it needs to be like 100$ cheaper
just an update everything ive tossed at it from grayzone warefare to helldivers 2 to battlefield 2042, I am having no issues, Granted I am playing in 4k so it is more gpu dependant, but I am not seeing as many drops in my 1% lows. I am finally happy to say I have a decent pc for work and play in one.
Congratulations man
