thanks man, it was really worth it

the only caveat

#

is you must have software for fan control. I could not use the gpu fan header. Apparently their firmware is programmed to control fans statically with rpm.

I could not get the arctics to go below 1600rpm no matter what I did

the bios doesnt have a sensor anywhere near the gpu, which is another factor making you use software

#

so for linux gaming this may be a bit more tricky.
