#Time bomb PSU
1 messages ยท Page 1 of 1 (latest)
bro that PSU is a fire hazard
replace that asap
EVGA W series and N series are all time bombs
really?
hmm
I would return it and get an A650BN
i plan on changing my cpu later so ig ill do that with the psu as well
In how long?
like a month?
fair enough
aight ill take your advice
the psu should still be in its return period
https://a.co/d/guXT6x8 I would get this to replace it
alright thx
PLEASE do your own resaserch into this as well.... I know the guy means well but that is an extreme over exgaerration, listing it as a fire hazard and or "time bomb" with that many problems EVGA would have pulled the plug years ago... not saying he is wrong just before you swap out new parts on your system look into it yourself
it's really not. The N series and W series have almost no safety features or any sort of protection against power spikes from outlets. Unless he's using a surge protector that PSU could kill his system at any second. Also EVGA isn't a company anymore, they've been gone for two years now
This psu is literally a bomb though
thank you
I never said you were wrong but I always stress to people always take advice from DIscord or online in general with a grain of salt; especially when that advice entails to swapping out parts on your system. always do your own research like you saying EVGA is not a company anymore that is indeed false please do research they stopped making gpus in 2022 but no they are very much still a company
uh huh
???
Evga still exists yes
Doesn't mean those models of psu are any good
bro I am not even speaking to you I am saying the other guy said it... never disagreed like I said
Nice backtracking bud

i'm just saying it's not an exaggeration at all, that psu is a legitimate hazard to his system and potentially the rest of his house
huh?? where did I say the PSU was good man? see this is the issue with inserting yourself into a conversation where you had no business being, you assume and look goofy
You said if it had issues they would've pulled it
Which is not true
also they technically exist but they don't do any manufacturing anymore, just rebrands of low end FSP PSU's and Asetek AIO's
you just said I worded like it was a good psu?? where did I say that? who is backtracking now? I said yes if its a MAJOR issue it usually has recalls not advertising as a good psu

They have no reason to pull it if it sells
you gonna answer my question? pertaining to this?? did I say it was good?
You implied it was good by saying if it wasn't it would've been pulled
LMAO
Evga doesn't manufacture psus they rebrand psus
They could pick a better one they don't
implied by saying no major issues would force a recall LMAO thats good now???

^mainly lower end FSP units now, before they used superflower PSU's which were and still are really good
Yeah I figured. lol have a good day
@blazing basalt please do replace that psu ASAP or if you ever upgrade though ignore this other guy
PLESAE do research before listening to people on discord thread take the advice BUT DO YOUR OWN homework; PREFERBALLY creditable sources. @jolly meadow
Notably psu cultist where this psu is likely a c tier or lower?
it's F tier btw
Figured
why are you so upset I suggest somone seek a second opinon you know your not always gonna be listened to or right you understand that?
I'm upset you try to discredit people for spreading the word on a bad component yes
How selfish of me
good cy about it... will continue to do so because I stress to the highest degree people do their own homework from good sources not discord or reddit threads...
When he does the research he will see it's a paperweight
if you want to see for yourself
Wow
It doesn't explode but when it goes out it takes your system with it pretty much
oh now so now it goes out huh
Yeah it shows he doesn't actually know anything
Because the psu doesn't meet safety standards
any sort of wall outlet surge would make it do that
lmao yall funny anyway @blazing basalt read throug the thread and please do reaserch good luck on your PC!
\
Bruh
you're funnier, you didn't even read the review which literally proves my point. Any sizable power surge would make it pop.
This other guy @tawny siren is trying to convince him he doesnt
๐

@hardy sentinel @tawny siren @daring sorrel i really do appreciate the advice, the pc/psu is connected to a surge protector at all times + im prob just gonna take it apart and ask for a swap to another psu from amazon
but again really appreciate it
๐
gonna replace it with this
around the same price as the evga one
