#W build?

Pretty W except for one thing: your power supply is far more powerful than it needs to be. This build will probably not draw more than 500 watts ever
*400w
Could have gotten a lot better performance for the same money
W build (psu is overkill)
Yapping
Psu is NOT overkill
Its too bad actually
I woulda recomended at least 750W
My bad oops thats 850
Didint have my glasses
No, pcpartpicker estimates just under 450
So I'm giving it some wiggle room for overclocking and insubstantial upgrades like more drives or something
Yh im thinking about another drive
I just wanna know how much should all of it cost me?
what, another drive?
well you gotta know what you want
The new cod is 350gb
probably u wanna rule out HDD's these days cuz its for games lol
Yh
Yh
Kind of
I’m using Ethernet but with a wireless connector rn
Like an extender
But this pc I built yesterday so I gotta do some more stuff
Yh
that's hilarious but as long as it works dw about it
I’m gonna change it to from the router
It downloads at 70-80 mbps so it ain’t bad
My old pc downloaded in kb/s
So glad i upgraded
so the WD black 2TB nets u just over 100 bucks
acutally scratch that
These two are a around 150 but seem to have solid benchmarks
Alr Ty
I read that as alrighty and TY at the same time lol
Ever heard of consumption spikes?
Also its not good for a psu to run at 100%
70% is indicated
So its lifespan is greater
450w is if the CPU and GPU are both at 100% load or the rated TDP, which is 220w for the 4070S and 65w for the CPU. Everything else in the system adds up to about 90ish watts
actually i'd be surprised if this system went over 400w in gaming loads even with a gpu oc
@weary barn @shut sable
It feels like both of you are stating objections to what I said, but the content of what you're saying aggrees with me
yeah and they're almost non existent on 40 series cards. 7000 series cards have them but they aren't nearly as bad as RDNA2 or Ampere
guys. A 650 watt PSU would be plenty appropriate for this build lol
Oh my 6800 xt had spikes
that's what I'm saying
My pc would randomly go off
ok lol
hell a decent 550 would work
yes, but appolyon is right about efficiency curves
yeah that's RDNA2 which was known for that
Oh i see
you want a decent amount more than the expected wattage, but 850 watt PSU for this build is wasting money
my old 6950XT had 650-700w spikes
Dang
you're saying it can draw more than its rated max wattage?
way way way more
its called transient power
newer cards don't do it much but 6000 series and RTX30 were really bad about it
Is 110 fps in furmark knot good tho for a rx 7700 xt?
your 6800XT is a faster card btw
swap back to that if you still have it
ah
Just a placeholder bcs my motherboard was too small
And the gpu would destroy the cables
ooohhh yeah fuck that lol
What processor is that?
7600x
