Ran the bench out of the box on her build and got 24k. Friend wanted to try and beat the score by using custom settings and running 1k. I threw that at him to save him some time and have him stop.
She wanted a right side facing case, an upgrade from a AMD 2700x 16gb DDr4 MSI 970 GTX 4gb system in an old pink full tower case. She wanted tons of RGB. She also wanted to run smoothly on her new ultrawide Asus tuff 165hz monitor.
Upgraded to Lian-Li black O11 EVO Dynamic RGB
Asus Prime X670-P
AMD 7800X3D
Sapphire AMD 7700XT
Corsair Vengence RGB 64GB DDR5
Corsair RGB Lights and control system to go with her Corsair Keyboard, Mouse, Headset she uses.
I am all for air cooling and got Noctua CPU tower and Corsair powersupply.
I got a standard score of somewhere around 4k but that's cause I was running the absolute max graphics to see what score I'd get, usually it's 8k on lower settings
I also saw that cpu cooler that's sideways, only just seen them recently and had no idea that was a thing
My fan is just on and ofc above the cpu chip
I've not seen that style before but I assume it's far better than what I have
OFC, origonal factory cooler?
I have just this basic standard fan cause I got a pre-built and improved it
This basic type of fan
I like cooler tower, her 7800x3d came chip only, and I an a Noctua Fanboy.
I never saw these box shaped sideways cpu chip coolers before
Though my fav Fans i bought for $12 13 years ago and are still running great.
Having received more than 6000 awards and recommendations from leading hardware websites and magazines, Noctua's heatsinks are serving hundreds of thousands of satisfied customers around the globe.
There are some large ones that compare to AIOs
I was thinking of getting those thermalright 120mm fans too that are like £12 per 3 fans cause I was gonna get the NZXT fans that match my H9 Flow case but £100 for 3 fans is wild
Yeah, wife's build when i pulled the price of everything she got this year, and the pull from the two trips to Microcenter. Her sistem $3500 ish. Not going to lie, I should have went with different cooling fan RGB ecosystem after she had small complaint
Case fans on the bottom draw air in from the bottom, So the back of the fan faces up. There are few if only one brand out there right now making reverse RGB fans that look good mounted in the back or bottom of a Case. (or for any kind of flipped orientation)
I also saw that those cpu cooler things are a clip on mount and not screw in?
Correct. A couple of the tower cooler brands do clips instead of screws.
I’m not 100% sure but the monitor box might have your address on it
If it does you may want to get rid of that image
it was a ship from Asus to Amazon label. mine is on the other side.
Good catch. had me zooming in and reading.
I think so
It’s mounted vertically
I don’t think you’d just vertically mount a gpu without using it
I made the mistake of geting the 900mm instead of the 600mm PCIE riser. You can see it going from the #1 PCIE slot over the top of the flipped motherboard tray and into the back. The fans are not spinning because the temp is around 25-30 C.
