No I hate coilwhine
🤨
What does that have to do with anything
New metal box or old metal box coil whine wont change
Sorry I'm sleepless,
In the past I always had real fucking bad luck with getting parts that have nasty coilwhine, this case being padded pretty much hid of all of that shit and is a hold over from an old incarnation of my PC.
My old PSU, Motherboard and GPU all had awful coilwhine, worlds most annoying symphony of dying chipmunks
Lmao
I associated cases without a psu bay with bad, but ig not
Also how do you get coil whine on a 3080 ti
Thats just shit luck
Im sorry man
This particular 3080 Ti is actually free of it THANK FUCK
But my OG reference 3080 had it horribly
Oh ok i was confused how evga let that happen
Hell, I just got rid of my old motherboard like two weeks ago before upgrading, you could hear that shit from the other side the room with the side panel off
Ig dont cheap out on the parts
¯_(ツ)_/¯
I did and i dont have coilwhine tho
Shit luck until now lmao none of my new shit has coilwhine, just got some fan tick in one of my new 140mms that's it
Nice
Which I'll bother with returning that in a day or two
One of my friends has a single fan palit 1650, and that thing while gaming without the side panel is as loud as a person talking
What does coil whine sound like
Dying chipmunk
That doesn't help.
Just go into youtube and pull up a 10khz sinewave
Yea and imagine three different frequencies of that shit
Padded cases luckily isolate that shit really well typically so I'll be holding onto this for a while still
Yea
Obvious sacrifices to cooling needed but whatever
I'm sitting in a pretty good spot thermals wise now + minimal noise, most minimal silent amount of fan noise that can only be heard with no background noise while doing a unrealistic work load ie 100% GPU and CPU usage. 75c GPU and 80c average on the CPU when doing that.
Impressive imo given that's around 500w
Imma record my pc coilwhine while loading doom eternal, thats the goofiest shit that exists
Wait
Also i pretty much shoved my phone into my gpu
Its very quiet
Luckily my framelimiters stop any chance of 500fps loading screen coilwhine lmao
Lol, thats exactly what that was
Also i prioritise sound so much to the point of turning down my gpu power limit to 85 when its more than 60fps
I typically target 75, 100 or 120hz hardlocked fps depending on the title I'm playing. Maybe 144hz here and there
scanline sync latent sync my beloved
If im setting a frame limit its usually double my monitors fps
I care about absolutely flatlined frametimes
Why lol
