None of it is “necessary” 😂 but it’s one of my hobbies that I spend alot of time doing. I can live video stream and record my podcast and still have plenty of processing power for other things. The RAM is excessive for sure. The water loop makes it so much quieter as the fans aren’t working overtime

I drain and flush it / add new fluid once every few months. Always pressure check it before adding liquid

If you’re worried about leaks, you can do flex hoses to eliminate potential leak points. Just doesn’t look as good imo

People run AIO coolers all the time and it has just as much potential to leak that a custom loop has

But 5500$ is in my opinion maybe a little much for a 4080 but considering it's custom and self built nobody in the world has the same pc so it might in that case be alright

There’s no maintenance really. But obviously if you start to have issue maintaining temp, it might be worth investigating. This 13900k runs so hot, it was very demanding on the Ryujin III 360. That’s why I went to custom water loop

Oh ok well yea you’ll need to physically do it then. There’s really nothing to it man. You can’t apply too much paste. Just get some 91 isopropyl alcohol and clean the old paste off the cpu and cooler block before you apply new stuff.

Even if some pushed out and it touches the mobo it’s completely fine

It’s an aluminum radiator. They don’t work near as well as copper but most prebuilt AIOs are aluminum.
