500$ is a nice price for a 4070, the same as a 7800xt for at most a few % less performance
issue is, a 7600 + 4070/7800xt build shouldv'e costed 1300 at most, not 2k$
with 2k$, you can get the much better 7800x3d with a 7900xtx, and that beats a 4080

i know the 7900xtx wipes, it even competes with the 4090 imo.. but i saw the price and took it, plus. i wanted to try ray tracing and DLSS

also the 7800xt was on my cart but I ended up choosing the 4070

the issue is that you threw away money that could've been spent into getting much better performance on aesthetics
