Need more fans
yes, the 360mm with LCD screen
got the exact same one, what cpu is it cooling down?
the 7700x
ah dope mine will be cooling down a 7800x3d, hows it doing?
the 7 series CPUs will try to get to 95 Celsius no matter what, so under load (with no tweaking) every cooler is just going to have the CPU at 95
I see
some small tweaks in PBO and I got temps down to about 89C and a much better Cinebench score
oh nice
it's definitely something to try to mess around with and optimize
I'm pretty scared to mess with that stuff but ill try ðŸ˜
me too, just look up a guide on optimizing your CPU in AMD Precision Boost Overdrive using the curve optimizer, so you won't have to overclock it
cant OC the 3d cpus anyways
oh yeah I forgot about that
What case is that?
What is that mobo name please
Phanteks NV7
It's just a normal MSI Pro B650-P Wifi, nothing special with it
6950XT best bang for buck wqhd card imo
Bought one for 660€ today
@thorn frost i also bought the 7700X lol
I also have a 6950xt
yeah it's fucking massive and I love it
absolutely, especially when you can get a great deal on it
so many fans i love it
tyvm
like literally ALOT of cooling fans
yeah that's why I bought them as cheap as possible ðŸ˜
i mean they look sick
what fan are those?
@thorn frost did you need an extra support bracket for the 6950XT?
no, there wasn't that much sag for this specific 6950xt, my case did come with one though so I installed it
they are cheap thermalright fans from Amazon, ARGB but only 3 pin so no PWM
ohh damm really? i was thinking about buying those but i didn’t think the rgb was that good
ARGB and pwm or the only cable they have is ARGB? idk that much about fans lol
i know that argb is for the lights and i thought pwm was to turn the fan on
they got 2 cables coming off them, one is an ARGB and one is Power, they don't have PWM so you'll have a less specific fan curve. They have ARGB but how well they work seems to depend on Mobo software, my ASROCK did really good with them but my MSI can't make any warm colors, that's why I went purple instead of Orange for my color scheme
yeah super cheap and not bad tbh
wait since they don’t have pwm, how do u daisy chain them?
you want some computer with that case
@thorn frost how r the thermalright fans working out? loud?
also, they have pwm fans
bro look at this nv7 build
not bad tbh, they do get loud because I set a ridiculously aggressive curve, but I know when I tune them to be quieter they aren't bad at all and the thermals aren't much worse
those fans alone are like $200 ðŸ˜
how do i find a good curve? and how loud are we talking? ig its hard to describe lol
ik brooo
i might get p12s, do you think theyre much better than the Thermalright TL-C12CW-S?
like PS4 loud, taking off into orbit
