parts of this build were cannibalized from a bad pre-built pc, which is why the motherboard is so cheap looking
i dont get or notice bottlenecks in 4k since at these high resolutions the frames are always lower anyway, so that's less work for the cpu and heavier on the gpu. im hoping with dlss and frame generation, i wont need to upgrade the cpu for a long time
it's worth mentioning though, regardless of resolution, im only interested in 60 fps, so even at something like 1080p, im not gonna care or notice that my cpu is limiting me unless im dropping below 60
What is your cpu usage in 4k
CPU: i7-7700
16GB RAM
i just benchmarked that game in 4k, it is taxing, but the cpu usage is around 40-50%
Seems good for such an old cpu
it's good, but that's the benefit of playing in 4K, i dont need to worry about bottlenecks for a long time. im sure if i had a dual core, that would be bottlenecking me badly though
How much did the cpu cost so ?
used, this cpu is only worth $80 us / $120 cad today. it was $300 us when it first released in 2017
