Yeah you can lay the PC flat, then get rid of the CPU fan. Should work.

Only problem from that cooler was I had a really hard time plugging in the cpu power cables to top of mobo. I had to completely unscrew the top of case and take it off lol

Maybe in other cases it’s better but there’s not a lot of room to reach your hand in
