1: rainbow barf
2: solid front??? Are you doing bottom to top?
3: why the cheap fans lmao
4: what on Earth is your CPU cooler doing with that fan config? Front to back with fans in pull-pull config when the case airflow seems like a bottom-top config just confuses me
Changing up some RGB settings would make the lighting... a bit more tasteful
But the fan RGB is just too cheap to look good no matter the setting on them
Nice graphics card though
Overall I rate it a WTFMYEYES/10
Please change out the fans to something else when you get the chance. Even the InWin Sirius Loop would look better than those things you use as fans
Your CPU cooler I understand has compatibility issues with the height of the RAM, so I won't fault you too much for that fan setup. Though you still get marks taken for not considering that in the first place.
Case I don't really care about as long as your fans don't turn it into an oven
RGB strip is blegh though
Pa120 is listed as a compatible cooler for z690 so not my fault…ish
Thanks for the recommendation
Nice
I made them not as toxic rgb lol
Any more recommendations?
It’s my first build. (Also the glass panel was off so it looks a lot brighter than it actually is)
Well, other than optionally getting lower profile RAM to switch the CPU fans to push-pull, there's nothing else I can comment on
You did great for a first build

Thanks for the recs.
I’ll try to make it not look like 12 year olds painting now that I can switch the lights 💀

ngl i don't see anything inherently wrong with it
like if i really wanna critique it/stare at it hard, the harsh contrast between bright rainbow colors n... pitch black is well, harsh, but i also kinda like it
i think its the lack of reflections? my brain is telling me that big block- i think its thecpu cooler?- is quite distracting especially when its in front of the rgb fan
i think it needs more glossy-ness / reflections, or texture in general ! so the black doesn't suck up all the color yknow. textures matter just as much as color themes.
but ofc just a personal critique you build how u want, as long as it works how u want it to !
(also i see absolutely no need to change fans especially if they work perfectly fine? its a waste of money and time just for someone elses opinion n not including extra unnecessary eco damage. i don't know what others definition of "cheap" is but they just Look Normal)
@reef nexus
Thanks so much for the advice/opinion! I actually totally agree with you. My phone took the pic in dark mode and I did not have the tempered glass panel on the case which is why it looks really bright and untextured (also I didn’t have money to do aio which is why I bought a big cpu cooler). I’ll definitely fix the cpu blockage in my next build.
nodsnods !
?
just acknowledging your response :]
Looks good if it was a solid color w/ normal "rgb" instead of argb rainbow vomit as mentioned, lol. As for cpu cooler, I just suggest removing the 2nd fan entirely if it's not atop ram. Currently being so close to rear exhaust there'll be extra turbulence and it's suboptimal.
Is there software to dim lights. They are so freakin bright and armoury crate won’t let me dim them
@reef nexus I'd like to point out that
-
The CPU cooler config is fine. There's really no loss doing it that way.

Solid front doesn't matter with 3 bottom intake fans. O11D uses this setup for instance.
Most RGB software should have a brightness adjustment
Thx for the info 🙂
@balmy coral @sullen rose
Is something like this better or what color do you recommend
(Lights are not as bright in person it’s my cam)
Honestly it looks excellent with a solid color
Sweet thanks! I do agree minimalistic and simple makes it look cleaner
Yep looks good all matched. I don't run a "2nd" cpu fan like that, but it can stay. Gpu temps or fan rpm sure are lower w/ bottom intake. 👍 -- which case is that actually? I like not having bottom psu.
this is the rosewill s500 (its only 54$ rn on newegg)
I actually love it a lot despite the hate i got for it. It has a fan controller and all the 4 fans came preinstalled which was nice. Super easy cable management as well
The only thing that is a con is that it doesn't have a reset switch'
Cool. Pro tip: hold pwr button 4+ sec to turn off, then tap said button again.
-- I haven't had a game freeze or such in a long time.
thats pretty
It looks like a good case tbh
IDK what else you could get with all fans for less then $75
My only issue with budget rgb chassis is that they usually come with ultra cheap fans that have pretty bad diffusion. My personal preference is to just go non rgb if you are on a serious budget
But i do appreciate that you have good priorities
Perf over looks
fans are also easy to replace down the line. Even a no-fan chassis for $54 is a steal
