A 10850k is, again, very similar in gaming to a 5700x/5800x, which is still a heavily recommended part, and really doesn't meaningfully bottleneck 4080s

It matters if you're trying to influence someone into spending money they probably don't need to spend, that's all

Basically any review outlet's launch reviews of the 5800x will compare it directly to the 10900k/10850k. It's not going to meaningfully bottleneck. It's still a relevant CPU
