The 10850k?

#

Nah it's still perfectly fine

#

10850k games really similarly to something like a 5800X

Yes?

I seriously doubt it

#

A 10850K is a very relevant CPU today

grizzled idol
#

Sure but it will still probably bottle neck with a flipping 4080

#

Anyway dosent matter

#

A 10850k is, again, very similar in gaming to a 5700x/5800x, which is still a heavily recommended part, and really doesn't meaningfully bottleneck 4080s

#

It matters if you're trying to influence someone into spending money they probably don't need to spend, that's all

U gonna bottleneck hardddd

#

Yeah no

grizzled idol
#

Really proved ur point with that one

TechPowerUp, one of the best review sites in the world, reviewed their 4080 with a 5800x. https://www.techpowerup.com/review/nvidia-geforce-rtx-4080-founders-edition/5.html

Basically any review outlet's launch reviews of the 5800x will compare it directly to the 10900k/10850k. It's not going to meaningfully bottleneck. It's still a relevant CPU
