So I'm aiming to get a new SSD soon. The main issue arises when choosing the m.2 SSD, as while I've had my eye on a Kingston one for some time now, after reading multiple reviews forum posts and watching videos on transferring data from the SATA to m.2 SSD using the Acronis software, I saw users had multiple issues doing so. Since I'm shifting my OS and files from a SATA to an m.2 SSD, I'm concerned about encountering those same issues which can lead to data loss corruption y'know, all that awful stuff. I'm also new at this btw
Here are the links detailing some the issues people have found with trying to migrate OS and data to Kingston SSDs
Hello, I got an XPG NVMe SSD (500 GB) and with it the Acronis True Image. I plan to use it to clone my Win10+files that are currently in a Crucial SATA SSD (also 500 GB) to the new NVMe SSD, from which I will always boot, but I'd also like to wipe the source SATA SSD and use it as additional storage space on the same PC. My question is: how can ...
This is the process for cloning a drive using the Acronis True Image software included in our Kingston SSD Bundle Kits. Before we begin, we want to ensure our SSD is properly connected to your system.
You did not get the Bundle Kit that included Acronis? Need to clone on a Mac? Check out the videos in this playlist: https://www.youtube.com/...
My question is: is Kingston reliable for migrating data from a SATA to m.2? If not, what other brand provides a more reliable service (Samsung?)?
Why don’t u just keep the sata ssd with everything on it and buy a new ssd for other stuff
Oh, that's because my current SATA is sooooooo slow
Damn
That said...the reason I'm buying the new SSD is because the old one is slow to start with. For example, it takes about 3-4 mins to boot windows. Yeah...
Well I don’t think anyone is gonna see this thread so I’d post it in the channel
I tried doing that already
Tbh, wish I could do that. Far simpler
Oh they said to ask in #techdiscussion
But the chat there moved way too fast and they were talking about something entirely different
Then ask again later
I'm not sure what to do because the sale on the SSD I'm looking at is gonna end very soon 😟
That's the only reason I need a faster answer
I think the guy who made the thread answered u
Okay thanks for your help
