What do you mean? @sturdy wing
A captain can already register a team on their own without interaction from the TOs
TOs? for an example when a player goes to register their team for a 2v2 (4v4) tournament. Clicking the register button will pop a form up and the player is required to register their team via "@Tagging" therefore adding them to the participant role.
Currently we have 1 player sign up. then a tourney admin has to manually add their partners to a participant role and edit them in to their team. I will be setting up the next 2v2 tomorrow night so i can provide more screenshots, etc.
Just a suggestion to make my life easier hahah. Not sure if others will get much use out of it.
I am just a little confused as to what you are asking for, is it just automation of "giving teammates a participant role"? Because everything else you mentioned, besides that, can already be done by the Team Captain
Also, TO = Tournament Organizer, AKA TA = Tournament Admin. Switchable terms for the most part
So upon tourney set up we pick 16 players as it represents 16 teams(32 players). Then we have to manually enter the team name, player names ( the lette initals in the pics), and add the none registered team member to tourney role so they can receive pings in the match thread.
its such a tedious process. Am I missing something? How can this procress be stream lined. we have been having to do this for 2 years lol and im so over it.
The player registering can do all of this themselves, except for the role part.
And if you have them register using IDs all you’ll need to do is click the mention and add the role right there
Copy. Our demographic is mainly new discord users so its a little difficult to communicate these types of things. User error
