skylanders couldve been huge
<@&685609844308443203>
minecraft progression
The series was so peak, it needs more seasons
also if tf2 got actual support and good updates it could genuinely have been a massive esport
half of the features in zenless zone zero getting used in one chapter and then being forgotten about
plants vs zombies heroes

trve
TV Gameplay slander
Lowkey BFN…
gw2 pve

Joustous from king of card is rlly fun
bosses are ass (either over/underpowered and underwhelming)
diamond gear is way too easy to find
netherite "upgrades" are too hard to find
its only kinda fun when you handicap yourself and pull a lukethenotable and even then it gets kinda boring
man the miasma stuff is cool and all but tv mode is so fun i wish the fanbase didn't complain it into getting wiped from the story
they completely removed the whole tv screen exploration thing i felt sad when i reinstalled and saw it was completely gone
true
yea
also the combat system
is way too simplified
and half of the items in the game serve no purpose/are creative but suck
isnt it still in the scott outpost things..?
Yeah and the only "lategame" TV gameplay is the aggrepago fault (definetally butchered the name)
arpeggio
Every game should’ve had user pea cap’s birthday at some point yet never did
luckily it's not completely gone
pre season 2 exploration missions, arpeggio fault, and withered domain still use it
pvz heroes
when i got back into the game i was super surprised how fast i was going through the chapters and when i found out it was removed i was like damn
combat system is boring
crystals have been in the game for a decade iirc and people are just now picking it up
I agree that theres an <in general more support> clause you can add to a ton of games like TF2, but idk if anything specifically core feels lacking
Thank you
The final battle of borderlands 2, don't get me wrong, it's a pretty cool battle but it feels like I'm fighting a big ass kraggon, jack makes it special i guess
The warrior it's a pretty mid boss
Thrower class terraria
Real
calamity made it rogue
Thrower class was almost real: that's y its missed potential
the fortnite building mechanic
its way too juiced out of all of its fun and its way too old/needs a rework(?)
Standard LoR answer too. Prismatics, art, expeditions, ‘achievements’ further than mastery all could’ve been higher prior early. A lot of those were lacking unfortunately.
save the world...
Antonblast as a whole
Very underwhelming game, lame movement
Also the lore from Lunacid I found really lame
And the game in general gets way boring as you advance
And also the characters suck
Imo, not part of a video game but rather a concept
The Nemesis System
Patented by Sony
Nothing done with the system after the lotr games
:c
Its so cool, more games could use it
Kessler if the sovs understood their own rules :)
Oh yeah clash mini
Mega Man 8. It has the best shop system out of any of the games with a ton of shop unlockables/upgrades that allows for crazy build variety (that greatly shakes up how you play the game, as opposed to the other games where shops only sells lives and stuff) and replayability, a new currency system that encourages level exploration, some of the best designed bosses in the series, a very solid selection of Master Weapons, introduced Master Weapon + Buster Shot duel-wielding (so you can use the Buster Shot alongside any other weapon without having to switch weapons), so many QOL changes.
The problem? The levels suck!! Most of them revolve around some dumb gimmick that has nothing to do with action-platforming and don't let you engage with your upgrade builds. The snowboarding level, the shmup level, the puzzle dungeon level, the fucking maze level! If these levels were actually good, this would easily be the best Mega Man game due to everything else, but the levels just ruin it. Not to mention the fact that pretty much everything introduced in this game never returned in later games. Later games all use the Mega Man 7-style shop system AND currency-system which in comparison is so fucking boring and encourages enemy-drop grinding instead of level-exploration, there is no upgrade system like MM8 in the later games (so creating dedicated upgrade builds is gone), the Buster Shot dual-wielding mechanic never returned I have no idea why it hasn't (this applies to many of the QOL changes MM8 introduced).
It just sucks, MM8 should have been a slam dunk but just fumbles so badly in the level design that it turned an S-Tier Mega Man game into a C-Tier one, and as consequence likely hindered the later MM games due to none of the features introduced in 8 ever returning, like the shop system which later games use MM7's instead. At minimum I'd appreciate if SOME of the QOL changes MM8 made returned, like telling you exactly how many uses of a Master Weapon you have left.
Holy yap
(Go off queen)
Skylander mentioned!
the wormhole mechanic in pokemon (ultra..?) sun/moon games
after you get all the available legendaries from the tier 3 wormholes you just get shinies from regular wormholes
battle for neighborville's upgradexsystem
it could have been so much better but it felt so half baked :[
it was
saying anything other than bfn would be lying
True
Skylanders falling off wasn't skylanders' fault tho
Like the market itself was dying because it was a niche
Skylanders falling off was because Activision sucks and also they took it off the wii high key
and also yknow the market dying
think abt it
the whole toys to life stuff was a fad
it blew over after like 8 years
Disney infinity was discontinued Lego dimensions was just updates now
Starlink came out in like 2019 and the only reason that was relevant was because of star fox content on the switch version
yea fair
I think them taking it off the wii was a death knell because they took it off one of the biggest consoles of all time and made it so that Nintendo kids (a big group of people), could only play skylanders if they had a wii u and the wii u was a colossal failure
This is purely anecdotal of course but my brother was a massive skylanders fan but we skipped the entire super chargers generation because we didnt have a wii u and super chargers wasnt released on the, and instead the wii got this terrible racing game called super chargers racing
And then by the time imaginators came out we did have a wii u but he was less into the series by then cause the super chargers debacle soured the games for him so we barely bought any of the new skylanders
How expensive was it to get started in the skylander series, like when the toys were still sold and stuff, getting one of the games and the toys to play the games should add up. (Assuming bare minimum and like one of each element needed to pass certain levels)
Oof
Oh my god you shared my pain
They should have pulled a just dance and kept the games on the wii because everyone had a wii and the wii made perfect sense for a toys to life game because of how it was controlled and marketed
my older brother fuckin loves that game
Cuphead's Delicious Last Course should have had more Run N' H Guns.
Ok real talk, Fortnite STW
To this day it maintains >10k active players for a $20 (used to be more) game that is overshadowed by its pvp cousin which is very impressive, especially when you compare it to Lego fortnite's PVE which only has about double despite being free
The story is very good even if the quests can get tedious and the gameplay while repetitive is really only as repetitive as any other zombie game
plus there's so many different builds and gimmicks that you can try and they're still adding some new ones every now and then, and most of them have been really good
So close to greatness
Pvz and it's pay to win ness
focus blast
nah what u talkin 'bout, focus blast fine
rocket league sideswipe, bomber friends, almost every .io games
hell even fun run 3 if they update new stuff to the game
Minecraft magic
We had enchantments
And potions
But mojang jus gave up midway and…
Went to engineering eurgh
Like wts is copper bulbs and tools
copper in general was just such a random addition
every single pvz game has a part like this
for pvz heroes it's the entire game
trye
spelltipped arrows are so cool let's make them very annoying to get
not even an opinion since the hero select screen has space empty spaces for 4 more heroes
fr if they don't add my ancient egypt hero the game will never live up to its potential
uhh calamity mod
"super mario maker 2 has an empty slot next to 3d world"
