Better idea: steal most of their food, but leave the empty containers

But leave a few cans/bags/whatevers of stuff that doesn't work on its own (sauces, seasonings, whipped cream)

I’d steal the emergency charger people might have. That way when their primary charger breaks they go home with the expectation that they can charge their phone and end up with it at 20% with no charger
