I've learned that Rinoa's best at just focusing the boss, yes you should get kills when you can but when I burst I'll just focus the boss with rapid attacks until meteor is available or the enemy advance

With one of his UR you can wipe out the whole team at once

Or when they are close to the boss and their burst is almost finished

Lately I've no main. I switch between Lightning, Prompto, Zidane,Krile and Gaia. I Base who I use on whoever might be online at the time and how they play. It has been shit luck with teammates though.
Scenario:
Start match, Get a cloud that does no boss damage and goes directly for opp team or, Krile that goes for opp team and never shares brave and gets killed a ton, or get a team that do not attack the boss at all when brave reaches 9999 but instead runs past and uses the burst on the other team cause ego.

The biggest issue I have is not having full abilities on the go after you obtain a character. Only upgrades should be rolled for.

She's pro at clearing monsters and crystals, but if I build her as speed support, then get paired with Krile it's kinda bad. But if I try to build her as dps, I feel like she's average lol.

I'll say skilled players can make any character shine in value. It's not Lightning's job to duel unless needed. Rather than like Cloud who's like bring it on in your face type. However, I do think the game's design for agile role is a weird middle ground. Their objective/specialty is either farm bravery or steal bravery, yet the supports are also feeding bravery...like why? The role of agile becomes mid when they can be replaced by supports

Not sure if they'll add Hope, as he's already an ability too. I'll like to see more main characters or ones that are more well known. I get they're trying to give other characters a chance to shine, but with so little game content that is repetitive, limited stuff to do, with no new game modes, if there is only characters to look forward to, and that's not even ones that people want, it may slowly die. It's not League of Legends where Champs are created from scratch and every one of them is a surprise. Square Enix has to rely on characters people like. Thats just the truth.

I like the continued insistence that instead of using the player character avatars from 11 and 14, they just look you in the eyes and say "You're getting the demon AND Y'shtola".

Lightning and OK surpass him in terms agile role as well as being more viable due to their offensive capabilities
Zidane has to dive the enemy to even be useful but it's so easy to play around that because you can just bait him into a counter attack
His damage is also really weak
I don't even see him being close to being viable in a game that's all about killing the boss

but thats the point, zidane does it with one button without wasting any abilities

i will admit playing him as an assassin or a damage dealer is a nightmare, which is what i tried to do early on and it was completely disastrous

but by the time i figured out what exactly i should be doing, my impact in games became much bigger and my winrate and mvp rate also became much better

of course it took me a long ass time to figure that out

i would say i had absolutely no idea what i was doing for the first 200 or so games

i am not trying to say zidane is the best character or that he is great in any way, i am completely aware of why he is considered the worst.

As you're playing lightning you probably already know what to do
Prioritise crystal farming with your speed then attack when necessary

Basically I noticed if I have a krile on my team with any other player, the ffvii music and atmos as a boss, the npcs start dancing

If you stop the dancing from the opposite team they relentlessly attack you, then go back to dancing.
