Bug

As stated in the title, when i kill golems, all the dirt and ore veins disappear, a fix to this is getting on the horse. It seems to fix it somehow and it seems to happen on any vein and with any golems and any veins.

here is with a tin vein and the golem next to it

And here with adelite vein with the golem next to it
https://medal.tv/games/my-little-blacksmith-shop/clips/lamoSULeSYrOxEJ6i?invite=cr-MSw4bUssNDE2MTgyOTI3.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Find a ore vein.
  2. Kill a golem.
  3. Watch the veins disappear.

the adelite one is odd/interesting.. The tin one I could've seen as a render zone/cull error thing, and when you get on the wagon, you're changing render zones as well, so they get triggered to render again when getting off... but the adelite one is definitely too close to be that... I think... I mean I don't know the exact like... region/cell lines.. maybe it just so happens that golem is technically in another region and interacting somehow is saying you're in that region, and stops rending the ore to optimize a little.. but..

#

and what I mean by the like... not knowing if maybe the lines are there for the adelite one...

If you look at where the miner that you can sell ore to is, yeah? there's a copper, and coal/carbon, and a zinc. But close near the door, and the coal, is a different render/region
Once upon a time there was an issue that when you would get too close to that, without the door even being open and without intention to go in further

That the copper would unrender (erroneously) and a trigger for it to re-render was further away, so you'd have to leave the area and come back to get the copper to re-render
So the line COULD be close...
Its just a lot of speculation to say that hitting the golem, and it being over that line, maybe counts as crossing it, and triggers the unrender.

But if there is a line, its only triggered when i kill the golem. If i just get close to him and go back to the veins they don't disappear

Which is also possible, that its, just a completely unconnected to zones, bug.

Its also possible that if you're walking around it, that you're properly triggering zones instead of some oddity in triggering the zones.

Its also possible, that, if it were an oddity in triggering the zones, kinda like how riding the horse doesn't trigger the zones the same way as walking does (which to me feels odd but sorta isn't), that it isn't able to properly "untrigger" whatever it is doing.

Also, idk why, when i ride the wagon, i can't see the ores or the dirt.

Well that part is absolutely definitely a render-zone thing, That's what I was mentioning with horse and render, and why getting on it, and back off, helps the issue here, cause the ore is being render culled, and getting off the horse triggers a call to render (if there's some to render)

Is there any permanent fixes or i keep doing the wagon fix?

I should hope its not permanently, broken
If you encounter a node rendering issue, Walk a bit aways from it and then come back, likely you'll trigger the normal unload and load of the region, similar to getting on and off the wagon

This was how the previous copper nodes disappearing got worked around (client capable no need to have ||access to the project and code, its something only Dasius really can come in, look at, adjust and fix or explain exactly the causation and whether its addressable or not,|| I think)

But since the horse/wagon thing DOES work, It implies that it is indeed, just a render cull issue and not like its actually wiping out the nearby nodes and they either have to wait till the next recycle/regen, or a reload.

Alright, just a question, are you one of the people on the team responsible of creating the game?

Ooooooh, alright, its just i follow the game ever since the free alpha was released and, coming back now, i saw just how much the game has progressed. I just wanted to congratulate the people responsible of making this game.
