Shiny hunting Deoxys and I’m just using a turbo controller to mash through the menu. I was considering using RNG but decided I wanted a more traditional hunt. But while I was looking up how to rng manip I learned that the seed is determined when you press A on the title screen and save file. So if I use a turbo controller to mash A consistently every time wouldn’t that give me the same or adjacent seeds every single time I soft reset?

Not sure a macro would be consistent enough to always get you the same seed but in theory maybe. Easy to calc with a high level such as Deoxys

The problem here is the softreset. But anyway, if you have a microcontroller you can easily hit any initial seed

There was actually a test on macro controller vs manual on SR in FRLG. You saw way more duplicate seeds and pokemon with a turbo then you do without it. If I remember correctly itwas a sample of 10K they did and it got 4k in duplicates for seed and pokemon with a macro. Without a macro it was like 400-500 duplicates. So a big difference.
