Complete newbie to rng methods and thought It'd be easier to attempt it on emulator before retail but I'm stumped. I'm using desmume with scripts, I've gotten the initial seed correct consistently but Frame: 0 goes to Frame: 12 and changes the seed when I interact with the pokeballs and no shiny. I've done a few different seeds on advance 0, 5 and 12. If retail is somehow any easier as well let me know

Check what you hit and adjust
Initial seed is correct pretty consistently then I get 12 LCRNG Advances after clicking on the machine

+12 is just the mon being generated
am I using searcher or generator to check what I've hit
you just have to press A at the ball when the lgrng advances = advances
searcher just for finding the spread you want to hit
then put the initial seed of the spread in the generator
and only use generator to see what you hit
oh ok so I hit 4, shiny is on 71 lol
search a spread that is at 4
so go in searcher
put min and max advances as 4
so you're good to go
similar concept for other static/gift encounters I'd assume?
