#SHA 1 Cache in nightly Pokefinder

While I think I know what this does, I just wanna ask before I spend days letting my PC run. My biggest question is: since I am using the nightly version, is this already fully functional?
As to what it does:

  1. Basically I can just let my PC run once, calculating all the seeds I can hit (and storing the dates and button presses for them), so afterwards seed searching becomes much faster, correct?
  2. Can I precalculate using all button presses and then still search for no button presses using the generated file? Or more general, if I have a SHA1 cache file, will I be able to search seeds with parameters that are a subset of those used to generate the file (only specific year, button presses)?
  3. How does the IV cache interact with this? Are they completely separate? Also which spreads does the IV cache search for?

  1. Im not sure it’s fully implemented yet but it should largely function at least
  2. that’s its indented purpose indeed
  3. no it’s locked to the exact specific profile parameters at the time of creation; different buttons presses will require another cache. I’d guess the same to be true for changing to a timer0 range when you previously only had the same one as min and max
  4. I do not remember the difference between the sha1 and the IV cache; all I remember is that the IV cache takes WAY LONGER to generate

Generally these questions are best asked in the pokefinder server as fish actually checks that one commonly lol

I think that answers my questions for now, but if I have more like these I'll check out the pokefinder discord
