Diamond/Platinum Masterball Lottery

Is it possible to RNG a second masterball? I got a copy of Diamond that had a completed save file, I want to soft reset for a shiny darkrai for old times sake but he used his masterball on dialga 💀. Any idea what to do? I could also RNG a second one on Platinum where I know my TID/SID.

you can use this to do so

basically just find whichever seed for your tid (you probably want the dppt 10 flip column), hit that seed, make sure you do exactly 10 coin flips (including the ones you use to verify you hit the seed), then create a group with the group man in jubilife

Locate your TID, or the TID of a pokemon in your PC on this table of values. That row contains an initial seed, and number of Egg frame advances (Mersenne Twister) necessary for that TID to win a master ball. Use Column B for Diamond, Pearl, or Platinum, Column C for Heart Gold or Soul Silver, or Column D for a potentially lower delay. Next, locate the group man in the desired game (Violet City trainer school for HGSS, and Jubilife City near the TV station for DPPt), and save in front of him. Put this initial seed into Seed To Time, and choose an initial seed. I suggest choosing an initial seed between 5 and 10 minutes from midnight, and for HGSS only, a day of the week other than Monday (please read the rest of this blurb to find out why). Hit the initial seed, and verify with as many juggler Irwin calls or chatot cries as needed. For this RNG, coin flips count as advances, while Chatot and Irwin do not. Calling Youngster Joey on days other than Monday advance 2 egg frames, and creating then disbanding a group with the group man advances 1 egg frame. Complete the necessary number of Joey calls, coin flips, and group creations necessary to advance the stated number of egg frames. Finally, create a group before midnight in-game, and wait until midnight hits. (any name works, has no bearing on the RNG). Finally, once the day has rolled over, simply claim your master ball, either in Jubilife TV, or in the Goldenrod Radio Tower.

you use coin flips

it’s the same as hitting any other seed in dppt

also doesn’t the guide say to use chatots not coin flips

if you’re using the 10 coin flip column you can use coin flips

you just need to do exactly 10

you don’t need a specific method you just need to put the seed into seed to time
