just tried again and I got a zubat shiny instead of a gible, I checked the IVs and it checks out, wondering if there's a way to filter for the mon specifically or is it just luck with the honey?

I had a zubat in the same advancement as gible both shiny

No you can't get two results for one state

You either failed the Encounter Slot or hit another close state
