#How to use TID bot and begin RNG? This is my first time and the instructions seem unclear

My apologies for something basic but even google was throwing me off for this. I had it explained that I could pick a TID that I like, and then with that I could begin the process of trying to get the perfect frame for my starter to have the spread I would like.

  1. I am at the screen with the screenshot. I have tried following the instructions but I don't see anything to hep me out with seeing the TID. when using these keys

  2. I was also wondering, once I do get the TID I wanted, how do I make sure I get the SID and seed needed for the desired Pokemon? I know that I will be waiting for the correct number of "Advances" in one of these Lua tabs to press A, but unsure of how everything else is supposed to go. Am I overthinking these other parts of the process?

Apologies again, but this is kind of throwing me for a bit of a loop even after reading and re-reading some other assistance I had.

For some additional context, I put red boxes around some info I do have, but I don't thinkt hey're updating in the way I expected

I believe it is working as normal on this screen however, which may be the correct one for setting this. Hope this isn't spam, but just want to provide as much info to anyone who may take a look

You don't rng the tid

#

The Lua will bot for it

#

Just follow the instruction

#

You have to edit the Lua adding what you like

#

You can only rng the sid after botting for the tid

#

Use Google translate, it will explain everything correctly

#

If you still need help, just ask!

#

I'll be here to help, let me know

Hmm so

#

When it says to follow the instructions of Pause, Ctrl+N + Start (in this case, Enter key), What am I supposed to see?

#

In the screenshot, while it's on the TID bot portion of the script, it has a display of what the TID is

#

But mine does not have that after editing in the desired TID on the used script

timid anvil
#

To hit for the tid

#

The you rng for the sid

timid anvil
#

Then tell me if you don't understand something

fading aspen
#

Oh I was using it but I just got lost there. I thought I was using the correct script

#

Okay I think it is working now, I didn't realize that the working functionality of it would appear to have this flashing with the saved/loaded states

timid anvil
#

Yep correct

#

It stops when it finds the tid

fading aspen
#

Sorry for that confusion, it threw me for a loop lmao

fading aspen
#

So I have achieved the TID and SID I need. Again, sorry for that confusion lol.

My current step is going to be RNG for Treecko. From using the PokeFinder application, I have deduced that from my desired spread + TID/SID combo:

Seed: 8D13EE24 --> Right click--> Seed to time--> Advances: 118887

Now from here, I am a bit lost. If I simply ignore the initial seed and go for only the advances, generating the Treecko at the 118887 frame doesn't generate it. This is similar to the SID generation where you'd need to calibrate it. However, in the tools I am using, I don't think there is a way to calibrate in a similar way.

fading aspen
#

So this point, am I currently in the right mindset/process? And if so, what should I be using to calibrate?

timid anvil
#

Why do you want to ignore initial seed?

#

It is the first thing you need to care about xD

fading aspen
#

I don't want to, I just don't understand it. It seems like it's always at 0

#

LOL oops

timid anvil
#

Unless you do painting rng

#

Or

#

You use your tid as initial seed

fading aspen
#

Okay that makes sense, I am in Emerald

timid anvil
#

Otherwise it is 0

#

If it is 0, you have to use 0 as initial seed

#

Or you bot for a tid which is initial seed for the spread you like

#

It depends on what you want to hit

#

Perfect shiny spread?

#

Just shiny?

fading aspen
#

Mhm! It is Hasty 31/31/30/31/31/31, shiny male

timid anvil
#

Then you need to bot for a good initial seed / tid

fading aspen
#

So the way I started this process was I picked the TID ahead of time

#

I put in nature, spread, and TID
Then I used the script for the TID and SID here

Was that incorrect?

timid anvil
#

The process is ok if you don't want to rng the starter with perfect shiny spreads

#

Otherwise the process is not good, cause many perfect spreads will take months starting from an initial seed equal to 0

#

In frlg it is different, cause you da reset for a good initial seed

#

On emerald, if you want a perfect spread starter, you need or to wait month

#

Or use tid as initial seed

fading aspen
#

Shoot, I see.

timid anvil
#

You just have to find a tid, which used as initial seed is near to the spread seed

#

Found the tid (botting) you rng the sid to make the spread shiny

#

Then you go ringing the starter

#

If it is unclear just ask

#

So if a spread need like ABCD as initial seed

#

You need to bot for TID 43981

fading aspen
#

It sounds a bit unclear. How would I correlate the spread with the seed in order to produce possible TID?

timid anvil
#

Which is ABCD converted to decimal

#

Just put 0xABCD in tid list

#

As you already did

#

To bot for it

#

For example

fading aspen
#

Okay so forget getting a custom TID. So I'll do the IVs to PID, but the TID section is 0xABCD

#

So like this?
