why is the tutorial telling me to use method 2 if I'm on Emerald? is this universal or is it just trying to get a swablu?

method 2 is the most common one you'll hit on retail emerald

#

dont recall if emulator is very different but you can aim for a different method later if needed

While it is possible to hit any of the Methods on any game, these are the most common.

what does Encounter Slot do? it's not explained in the guide

if you select a pokemon in pokefinder it will fill that out for you

#

encounter slot determines the species (and generally the level) of the pokemon
