If you think a packed audience doesnt add anything to a film, you have not seen The Room with a packed audience

Seeing Once Upon a Time in Hollywood in 35mm at Tarantino's cinema was cool

when watching RRR, right after the mid break ended and the movie resumed some guy forgot to close the door of the theatre and some light was coming in for like 5 minutes until someone came and close it, idk why i remember that but i was soo annoyed by it😭

Midnight screening of Eraserhead at my local indie art house cinema was probably the exact way David Lynch intended people see it

I dont think the big chains play many movies that late

verbal fable
#

pallid sail
#

Indie cinemas are the best because the movie selections are unique and not just the money makers and the tickets are like $5

verbal fable
#

movie selections are very bad here

pallid sail
#

The one I go to apparently has a 35mm projector but idk how many films are actually played in 35mm because they never advertise it

verbal fable
#

Northman didn't release, EEAAO didn't release

All of my good movie theater experiences so far all have at least one thing going on in the Theater that was irritating and I hate that

#

Must be just where I live

verbal fable
#

I never had baby problems unless we're talking about 20 year old mcu fans who behave worse

#

when watching doctor strange mom, they were clapping when benedict was wearing a suit for no fucking reason

hallow haven
#

The worst mcu fan in a theater for me was this guy who wreaked of a body odor right next to me during endgame and it was so bad that I had my shirt over my nose for the whole movie

John Wick 2

#

I was like a bonobo ape in the theater during that scene where he was fighting a bunch of guys in the subway

#

And I was also at a theater where you can order food so I'm pretty sure i got a cheeseburger

Honestly it was seeing no way home with my girlfriend

#

It was when we first started seeing each other, got super high then went and I felt like I was experiencing my childhood all over again

pallid sail
#

Capybara Walking

hallow haven
#

Actually the two times I saw spider verse in the theater were both pretty great and memorable so I’ll say that

crude spire
#

I had a bad time seeing no way home just cuz something really bad happened the day before I went to see it and I was pissy

hallow haven
#

I had a group of kids taking behind me and the dude to the left of me checked his phone on full brightness every 10 minutes when I saw no way home, it was rough

There was a guy in front of me yelling cringe during the tiktok Spider-Man ad

It’s such a double edged sword for me because I love being in packed theaters and being around a lot of people in general but it seems like no matter where I sit there’s something disruptive going on around me. Meanwhile when there’s not many other people in the theater it feels lonely and I wish more people were there.
