It's more so about how others will take a direct discord link in our server, we for the most part have discord invites disabled so people can't just link their discords in attempt to gain members from our discord.

Making a youtube post / reddit post about it is fine as linking those is more of an announcement type deal rather than advertising a discord if you get what I mean

And with the Halloween mod installed

I have never modded before, but I do have an idea if I were to start.

I don't know how complex the behavior of the bosses is in this game, but I was wondering about making "Smarter" bosses

(Absolute) Radiance will not teleport right near you, and will always teleport above her own spikes in Phase 2 or in the sky instead of just above a platform in Phase 3.

Bosses will have an integer of how many times you get hit during specific attacks, and will favor the RNG towards attacks that hit you more often.

Keep them still RNG, just make them smarter about their RNG. It is just about always easier if the Radiance appears over a platform in her fourth phase where you can just hold up and attack to hit her, plus the common advice is to wait for her to come to you in that phase. Instead, she'll constantly be not above a platform and will for the most part be far from you.

Collector: So before I had problems against this one stray vessel that kept killing me every playthrough. But with some research, I found they really hate Primal Aspids. So I went and gathered up a few hundred, and started releasing them all over the place.

Collector: Ha haha haha ha ha! It works WONDERS!

But yeah, Collector would probably release things dependent on what you suck at combating, Radiance would not teleport next to you and would also use swords more often if she finds you get hurt by swords more often (it would help for practice at least, but I'll probably have something in place so that they can't use the same attack twice), and other bosses would do other things.

It would serve as a sort of difficulty increase mod. Even if you never get hit, Radiance is still much more dodgy and is forcing you to take the fight to her more often while other bosses will do other things.

It'd be fun to make this for those who want a harder game experience/smarter bosses but don't want the power that is Ultimatum Radiance (which is a good mod)

Nah I’m not baffled Zaliant, just too lazy to scour for all the secrets cause that lantern is somewhere lol. Was a fun journey in the dark, constantly worrying about where the spiders will spawn cause I don’t have the spot memorized.

Anyway, I was thinking about Smarter Radiance,

If she uses her Sword Wall or Wall of Light, she would have a decent chance to direct it in a manner to delay the player getting to her, then teleport to the other side immediately.
If Swords, she will direct them to come from where she will go.
If Light, she will direct it to come from where she was.
This way the swords block by being many advancing walls for the player to be immediately delayed by, and the light will force them to go back and wait a bit for the wall to go past her.

Phase 2, she will be given a big preference to being in spiked or soon to be spiked areas.

Finally, if an attack hits the player she’ll be more likely to use it in the future.

Of course, she will still be very random. She just has preferences and likelihoods to be doing these things. If she did the same thing every time it’d be more of a disadvantage against those who learn every trick and times accordingly.

When I’m less busy, this seems like it’d be a fun thing to try and code up. It was certainly fun thinking of how she would be smarter without changing her attacks or phases.

I'm thinking of making a mod that adds a few more moves to certain bosses that lacked move variety (such as massive moss charger, flukemarm, crystal guardian, and a few others) to spice things up a bit. (for example, I could give crystal guardian a close range swinging attack and a midair dive or something, or give flukemarm the ability to swipe one of it's tentacles or shoot a cluster of larva as a projectile, collector come down holding a jar behind him with his other pair of arms and could toss the empty jar at the player, god tamer could have a regular jab move and a upwards swipe to punish the player if they are pogoing too much, the list goes on) I have a lot of ideas. And I may be able to draw the frames for these attacks if I can manage to figure out a way to program these in. This mod could really offer a great improvement for certain bosses and make them more memorable. Problem is I don't have hollow knight for steam so i cant program these things (on top of having no experience in this.) now another question, its more on video capture , iv tried recording my screen on hollow knight before when i was trying to record myself fight hornet 1 rad on OBS and the quality was complete garbage, i know i have to record myself doing and finishing the challenge so is there any tips to fix this? not sure if this is keeping on topic.

I'll attempt to do the challenge with how OBS is now and if my practice recording looks bad I'll try looking at ways to fix it before i continue attempting
