Windows won't let me open the Mod Installer

• If there's a Pop Up that says "Windows Protected your PC", then click "More Info" (on the left), and then a "Run Anyway" button will appear to click.
  • This happens because Windows automatically blocks apps that don't pay Microsoft and go through the process to have their app Verified by Windows.

Installer vanishes after downloading / loads a blank screen

This is commonly because one or more issues:

• The installer was left in a .zip or in the Download folder. (It's recommended to put it on your Desktop or on the same Harddrive as your game installation)
• The installer may need to be run as Administrator (Right-Click it, and select "Run as Administrator")
• The installer is being blocked / removed by built-in security software, such as Windows Defender
• The installer is being blocked / removed by third-party security software (Avast / Norton / MacAfee / etc)
  • If you are not sure how to create Exceptions in your Security software for programs, then you can see this guide or you may need to google how to do it for the software that you use.

Honestly, I still would except that back when Lumafly was in testing, it accidentally yeeted literally all of my mods into the abyss

Known problems with Pale Court

• MAKE SURE YOU ARE USING THE LATEST UPDATED VERSION
• AdditionalMaps, Randomizer 4, Extra MenuBackgrounds, EssenceAlways (and any mod that attempts to force Essence drops) aren't compatible, and will prevent you from being able to enter fights.
• Using a BenchWarp Deployed Bench in new areas will break the file
  • If you accidentally do this, then close the game, disable Benchwarp, then open the file again. Get off the bench you spawn at, and sit down again. Then save+quit, and you should be able to enable Benchwarp again.
  • Alternatively, you can open your user#.modded.json for that file, and edit "atDeployedBench": true, -> "atDeployedBench": false, . You can type ?tag savefaq for more information.
• HK Vocalized may prevent you from accessing fights
  • (This appears to not be consistently reproducible, but if you can't enter fights, then try disabling it)
• Skill Upgrades will prevent Charms from working correctly
• Hollow Point will not work if Pale Court is installed
• Any mod that adds new Charms may prevent Charms from working.

If you're having other issues, then please read #1090079233520451714 and create a #1057825333841240104 post with the requested info and any details. Be aware that Pale Court was not designed to be compatible with other mods, and you will usually need to choose between using either Pale Court or the other mod(s).

I mean, grimm knight kinda represents NKG, it turns the cloak and nail red and gives you those cool eye scars. It also changes the looks of spells and attacks. There's also a REALLY detailed grimm troupe master skin, which is much more detailed then the other. If you're looking for mods that make you act like grimm, however, try nightmare spark. Several changes, flukenests summon fire bats and flukes, crystal dash summons a troupe novice to teleport you, gives you a charm that leaves a trail of fire when you dash, gives you a charm that improves grimmchild, and so much more.

Anyways, if you use randomizer, does it mess with your saves you don't touch whilst having it on, such as wiping its progress, etc, or does it just mess with the save file you're using rando on?

I have a 112% save, and I would hate to lose it all, as I want to have a fun challenge, but not at the cost of my 112% save

You can change some music with CustomBGM but I doubt that it'll allow to replace every track with the original one since I believe that it works per track, so you'd only be able to give one replacement for "gods and glory", etc. BetterGodhomeMusic replaces some tracks too with custom ones, and the songs are accessible in the mod's files so you can manually replace those, although that's only for a few songs

If you're thinking about wether or not it would be easy to create a mod that does this the answer is probably, since you could reuse the code used to replace the audio and add something that checks the scene you're currently in to adjust which track is played, however it would maybe require a bit more code when two bosses in a row use the same track in vanilla pantheons, to force the game to change the track

I have a question about cheat engine. (Sorry if it's not appropriate to discuss here)

I wanted to play Hollow Knight (platform is Steam) at 2x speed, so I used Cheat Engine.
However, the cheat engine stopped working half a year ago, and I was no longer able to play Hollow Knight at 2x speed.
I can use Cheat Engine without any problems on the other computer I used a year ago.
Also, even after reinstalling the save data and Hollow Knight game program, the cheat engine remained ineffective.

hey, anyone knows if the hp of one of the brothers (can't remember if it is Oro or Mato) is bugged in the Brothers of Battle modded fight?

Yeah, this fight is glitched. In theory It uses a shared health pool for all 3 nailmasters. Once that reaches 0, they all die. To avoid having one of them dying prematurely, their individual health is set to 99999. However the health pool doesn’t work properly (so it cannot kill them after reaching 0) and 2 of the nailmasters have their vanilla health while Mato's is successfully set to 99999, which is why he doesn’t die. I made a small fix a while ago by removing the part of the code that fails, which seems to fix the issue, but that’s definitely not an elegant solution. Open your mods folder, go to the Brothers of Battle folder, replace the .dll file with this one and see if that solves the issue

I also didn't fix an issue regarding the statue itself, which can be bugged (although that shouldn't affect the fight, once you manage to launch it ). Save Files

What do save files looks like?

• Each Hollow Knight save file is a user#.dat where # is the save slot for the file

• Automatic backups are called user#.dat.bak#, where the first # is the save slot, and the second # is the backup number. You will usually have your last three backups

If a mod supports it, then it will likely be in the mod's menu options (Pause > Options > Mods > ModName). You can also check it's Global Settings File (you can click the 📝 icon on the mod entry in Lumafly to open that), which might list the button that it is bound to, and if so, you can potentially edit that to the corresponding value of the controller input that you want (although this does depend on how the mod implemented it).
Unfortunately not all mods do have Controller support though. If you do really want to add functinality of a mod without controller support, you can use Steam's Manage Controller option to edit what buttons on your controller do when playing HK, and re-assign buttons that you don't use (like Joystick presses, or D-Pad inputs, etc) to Keyboard keys, and go from there.

...The zip itself is over 1GB due to the videos, which probably explains why your pc struggles to extract it, but honestly there's no point in trying to do that, for now what you can do is download the individual files. If the owner doesn't fix that (imo it could simply be a mistake on their side) then I guess that technically the skin would need to be hosted somewhere else, except that that's not something that's usually done without permission, so...
