@thorn bolt My reason for why upgrading strength isn't necessary is not that you can simply not die and it won't break but the fact that 90% of difficult bosses that #1 you'd use strength against and #2 will likely be some of the only bosses you have left if you hav gotten ustrength are dream bosses or bosses in godhome. That means ustrength is completely useless for them. The hardest fight that isn't in godhome or a dream fight is like traitor lord or hornet 2 and you really don't need strength for those. You will likely have even already defeated them at the point of getting strength.

Regarding which is stronger:
The argument that quick slash is "making strength better" doesn't make sense since the same goes the other way. The values simply multiply so it doesn't matter which charm you're looking at.
Quick slash not only increases your dps but also grants more soul equal to the dps increase. Hence why I personally think it is by far the strongest charm. Of course this depends on the situation though and there are some instances where strength is just stronger because you can't use qslash as effectively.

you can beat every boss hitless there, you can beat the 5th and hardest boss rush. You can do each of the boss rushes with different restrictions, you can do it with all restrictions at the same time, you can do it hitless, you can do it hitless with restrictions. That's pretty much it.
Doing the final bossrush hitless is definitely harder than elden ring and cuphead. Just beating the 5th bossrush might be harder, might be easier than elden ring, not sure
