So it travels through dead kingdoms, consuming flames, as a larva absorbs nutrients for its metamorphosis.
It hasn’t transformed yet because: either it hasn’t gathered enough flame, or there is no vessel (Grimm) capable of withstanding its true form to manifest in the real world. That’s why there are many Grimms, Nightmare King Grimm is the closest to perfection, but still not enough, as he cannot manifest physically.
And when a body reaches the required level of assimilation, the Nightmare will become real and tangible.

The second image would represent his form if he were able to complete the ritual.
I would only make one change to his wings, instead of having two wings, he would have four, like in the third image.

PV can be dashed through(not away) using Shade Cloak but Desolate Dive/Descending Dark are also good alternatives; The recommended way however is to jump, slash down (pogo) to parry and hit PV on their first slash. It is also possible to jump/dash over PV if the Knight so wishes. When the Knight has passed PV they should turn around and get 1-2 hits on it; it is also possible to use Vengeful Spirit/Shade Soul instead of the Nail. There’s also some hidden soul statues that don’t run out of soul that you can look up so that you can keep healing if needed
For the final room with the ||2 kingsmould, try to be above their heads a lot and pogo them. But be ready to dodge any boomerangs the other one throws. And use descending dark a lot for its I frames too for that enemy encounter||
