gpz is definitely one of the trickiest bosses with ab. Watch a lot of radiant ab runs to learn new ways of dodging attacks you struggle with.
Try to get rid of the minions as quickly as possible. This usually means shrieking as soon as he spawns them to instantly kill them. (yes, it's worth the soul)
Other than that use dark whenever you are unsure how to dodge something or are in the air. There are multiple moments where I recommend always doing it:
- when he spawns the volatile zotelings he does a second attack right after. To avoid it you can ddark preemptively
- whenever he falls through the ground and comes from above you can ddark right before he lands on you to deal damage. You also have the time to hit him 3 times right after to get the soul back
- whenever you're in the air and don't know how to get down safely just ddark
