• You can upslash and downslash if you are in the air, very useful for combat
• You can't softlock yourself, if you ever feel like you get somewhere you shouldn't be at, you'll not be stuck at all
• In the long run geo(the currency) isn't too important, you'll get enough eventually so don't worry when you lose some
• You'll die. A lot. And that's normal
• Team Cherry liked breakable walls so they are more than present in the game
• There never is a useless room, you'll always get something for exploring
• In metroidvanias such as Hollow Knight, you collect upgrades as you play, allowing you to reach new areas. If you don't think you can reach somewhere, you probably can't. Come back later when you have an upgrade that allows you to reach it.

A long while ago my friend introduced me to hollow knight and I sucked at it so he taught the ways and how to git gud and I did I got so good that he recently admitted I’m the better hollow knight player. Recently he has challenged me to a race on who can beat it first (story mode) and I have three advantages and he has two. He knows shortcuts around the map also shiner he said I’m bettter we made a deal that I can’t get bail upgrades. My advantages are that I’m better at pc (he usually plays on Xbox but for the race he will do pc) he doesn’t know pc, I’m a lot better at combat, and I am WAYYY better at parkour than him. I did path of pain and I practiced everything he isnt gud at that. Based on these inputs who do you guys think will win
