We are working on a mod

here is the lore. It will be a region/campaign mod.
A strange viral outbreak has plagued Rain World. Not much is known of the origin of this viral disease but the iterators have called it "Mad Lizard Disease" which causes a biological alternations of infected lizards, causing increased aggression, restlessness, seizures, bigger and stronger appearence and pretty much untameable. The infected region affects the visual appearence, and the whole enviroment is plagued by a mysterious red taint.

The additional part of the lore explains that the disease originated by red lizards whch have a highly contagious viral disease that in their saliva so once bitten, the lizard would become infected, similar to the rabies/zombie virus, which is hijacks the lizard's body and modifies its metabolism, becoming hyper-adrenalized, which increases aggression, and makes the lizard become bigger,faster and meaner.

so over time, this disease would quickly spread and infects the whole lizard population.

Its also planned that the regions will appear to have low visiblity and be a errie red tint, similar to when hunter gets sick but it looks much more intense and unsettling.
